Where do YOU buy kpop albums from???
I live in the UK and we only have one shop (hmv) that has more than 2 albums (mainly bts) so I buy mine on amazon ngl 😅😅
I mostly get mine from Amazon,lol
In Germany .... I mainly order online from Ktown4u, Makestar Or Mymusictaste.
But we finally have a few more stores nowadays here.
Saturn (which is an Electronic Devices store all around Germany, but not every of their stores carry kpop albums) - but they're really expensive most of the time
We have Daebak in Frankfurt, J-Store in Hamburg, Neotokyo und Berlin and Munich and Idol.Byeol in Dusseldorf
Since I'm living closest to Dusseldorf idol.byeol Was my Go-To Store pre-Covid
Out of all Options Neotokyo is the cheapest one
And J-store delivers the fastest
I like to order online from both of them
I have tried most of these stores at one point or another and my current go-to store is EvePink. When I first started buying albums it was mostly BTS & SVT and I got them on Amazon because I didn't know anywhere else. Once I realized there were other much cheaper places, I stopped that and switched to Choice Music for quite a while. For them and Music Plaza, whether its because they're more popular stores or they don't have enough staff to fulfill the high amount of orders, idk but I stopped buying from both of them because it would take them literally a month to ship one album sometimes. I live on the east coast, it shouldn't take a month to get to me when its still in the same country. I buy from EvePink because they're always super fast. They ship like the day after the album releases and I receive it within a week with very secure packaging. I've never gotten anything damaged. Texas is way closer to me as well. I also love that they have preorder cards! (more frequently now) They always get Apple Music pobs for Ateez so I get those, and they even had Weverse pobs for the BTS Essential Ed (which was nice because I don't like ordering on the Weverse app) They do lots of other groups too, currently there's holo pobs for Day6 and selfie pobs for Astro. You just have to check their announcements on Instagram. But yeah, they might be slightly more expensive because they're new, but I think the extra couple dollars is worth it for fast shipping, great customer service, and POBs. As far as customer service, they are great at communication. Whenever there is a delay in production of an album or they will have a shipping delay, they always send out emails and let you know what's going on. Once, I saw that an album would be delayed because people were talking about it on twitter, but I had ordered it from Music Plaza and they never told me anything. Just shipped it a month later when they got it. That was fine i guess, but i like to know what's going on. Plus, I ordered a few preorders together once since they were releasing around the same time and one of them was Victon's 1st full album. When it was announced that that would be delayed like 2 months, EvePink helped me switch to 2 separate orders so I didn't have to wait for my entire order to be together. Idk I've just had great experiences with them and I will continue to support them. (PS they have cute Evie mascot stickers that they change every month for freebies and I enjoy getting those too)
my fav store is kpop usa because shipping does take a little bit longer, but shipping is very cheap, so I don't mind waiting
i recommend kpopusa as well!! they’re located in las vegas and their prices are pretty cheap but rn they’re just having a tough time shipping orders since their employees are low from covid

An important thing to note is it’s important to do your own research depending on what album you get. For example one comeback could mean the choice music album is cheapest then then next one Amazon is the cheapest. It really is case by case so don’t assume ALL comebacks will be the cheapest from using a certain store!
Evepink ships really quick! I like supporting them because they’re a small business. Choicemusic is really disrespectful to idols so id rather throw a few more dollars to a good company.

In some posts they make really creepy comments about idols and when called out they defend it as just jokes. Theres a UA-cam video if you search ChoicemusicLa problematic

Note for Canadian kpop fans: even though we're really close to the US, the US kpop stores are EXTRAORDINARILY expensive to buy from here. Legit would have cost me over $100 CAD to get a single dreamcatcher album

@@helened7674 I've found that ktown4u tends to be the cheapest (at least to Toronto), and Sarah and Tom is a Canadian store that has multiple locations and ships across Canada! Hope this helps :)
Agreed! Shipping to Canada from the States is just as, if not more, expensive than buying directly from Korea, which sucks.

evepink's preorder cards are actually other stores preorder cards. i got my ateez albums & they had apple music pre order benefits.

just a heads up for people preodering albums from us shops, they usually have to get the albums shipped from Korea to their store and then ship to you so it will take like 10 days-ish after it's realeased to get to you! Ordering from Korean sites is usually quicker
I know. But shipping cost on Korean sites are so expensive. I’ll paid $3 for shipping since I live in CA.
I live in NYC and there's two kpop stores in Manhattan, Mandu Apparel and Koryo Books. Mandu is very small and doesn't have a lot of variety but they're pretty cheap and usually give you freebies, on the other hand, Koryo Books has a lot of albums, old and new, but they're usually VERY expensive. Also Mandu has an online store, Koryo doesn't.

Kind of shocked that EvePink was mentioned in this video, hahaha! They’re my local store and I personally buy from them because they’re reasonably priced and the staff is so kind.
My older sister has a friend with a daughter who likes kpop, so I was able to lend my ✨ expertise ✨ and help her get the albums for the girl’s birthday much cheaper than Amazon prices, so yay! My Kpop knowledge was helpful. 😂💕
honestly, i used to order from choice music la & have been in store visiting California but my problem with them is the fact they take super long to ship out albums AND their staff’s attitudes. they honestly handle things super unprofessionally, shaming people for asking about their albums or whatever & being super passive aggressive towards people or blocking people. they also literally take WEEKS to ship things out and aren’t very good at communicating about it.
Kpopusa is the cheapest us store that I’ve bought from, even then I only buy from there if aladin doesn’t have the album I wanted given that their dhl shipping is MUCH cheaper than Ktown4u and the price per album is overall cheaper than purchasing from us stores. Target’s buy 2 get 1 sale is the only reason I buy from there as the albums end up being super cheap but the limited selection makes it difficult to decide what albums are worth it. If I do end up moving to SoCal I’d love to have the experience of purchasing albums in person with the 500 stores that are in la

Buying albums from Korea like ktown4u is only really worth it if you buy in bulk. Last time, i bought 8 albums and it rounded off at about 18-20$ per album. Since i live in Canada tho, with the conversion it a little more.

Target doesn’t carry everyone so don’t even bother, plus their release dates aren’t always the same as the Korean dates (ie. Enhypen’s new album doesn’t come out until May at Target instead of this month). Amazon be careful because they inflate the prices a lot. SubK shop the prices are more expensive, usually $21+ (but sometimes not as you saw in the video, depends on album). Just heard about EvePink never shopped there, same with Music Plaza and Choice.
Store that wasn’t mentioned that’s usually good is KpopUSA, they’re based in Las Vegas. Prices are decent (19.99 and under usually), shipping is usually $4.
I mainly use Evepink. Maybe it's because I'm also in TX but I've been getting my orders within 3 days (4 or 5 if I ordered on a weekend).
How much was shipping
Kave Square is a good place to buy albums from, though it's kind of hit or miss how quickly you get albums when they're first released. If they're already in stock, they're super fast! And they sometimes have pre-order cards!
Im not from the us but i love watching these to see the price difference and how much more kpop stores there are in the us compared to the uk ❤️ i wish there was more in the uk
If anyone is located in Southern California, the cheapest store I’ve ever found is called K Place in Buena Park. I compared an album between there, K-Pop music town at the same mall, music plaza and choice and k-place was the cheapest one! This is all in person though, but just thought I’d throw that out there!

in my experience (which is limited lol) music plaza is occasionally a dollar more (preorder) but their shipping is usually low (i buy two or three albums when i shop there). buying older or popular albums is hard if it’s not preorder since shipping is consistently low and everyone is a collector😭
choice music is great but when u add a few things shipping can go up unexpectedly. for example i bought momoland’s single album starry night and the boyz reveal pc set (~$14 each) but shipping was like $15😭 while i expected to pay $34 i paid around $40 so🗿
it’s all case by case so it’s nice to have a few options when shopping at a us store! i like music plaza’s freebies. they’re very cute stickers of groups u have in ur wishlist or bought in the past!! i liked this video a lot thank u❤️

I ordered from evepink and I was definitely surprised at how quick my albums were shipped out! It was within 24 hours of my purchase

There is a store that opened in October and it’s called “K-Star Music LA” which is in Korea town in City Center on the 2nd floor. They sell really cute stationaries and really good pricing in album. I really do recommend them the place is so bright.

I go to Lil Thingamajigs. They have a very small selection of Kpop, but they do sell lightsticks, posters etc. They have cute Korean stationary stuff along with Japanese stuff too. I don't buy albums I tend to buy them elsewhere and buy stuff like the Tiny Tan merch that would cost me more on Weverse etc
Being from London, we have like 3 stores that sell food and albums ( in Soho and around the main parts ), the only thing is that the amount of albums and groups are very limited and you really only see the same few groups.
Up here is Scotland we sadly don’t have anything (as far as I’m aware of) other than the VERY limited selection in HMV or Fopp. Going to concerts in London is when we get to have a little bit of a wider range aside from just the usual BTS and Blackpink albums... Covid needs to leave so we can travel 😂

Wish there are even a kpop store being that big in Hong Kong, there are literally less than 20 kpop stores that offer kpop albums as their main product and therefore the prices are often so pricey plus many albums are out of stock, life is so hard here being a kpop collector...

I started to nearly exclusively order my albums through GOs. Only in case I don’t care about any kind of PoB I order through one of the German kpop stores (even though albums have become quite expensive since Rona is a thing). Starting from july when the new german import law becomes valid it will not be useful for a single person to order albums just by oneself, so I already prepare myself by ordering through GOs 😅
Same (but I'm from Finland)! Nowadays I try to either buy from GOs or order from stores in the EU (but a lot of them are really expensive, I've only found one with actually good prices but the shipping is kinda slow😭) It's gonna suck when the law starts, I like buying signed stuff from ebay but I'm gonna have to deal with customs a lot more😭
i usually order from kpopusa, but i am definitely considering trying out subk since they have pre-order cards! kpopusa doesn't have pre-order cards themselves, but occasionally i'll get one? like when i ordered ateez fever pt. 1, i got a wooyoung pob (i don't even know which one tbh) and when i ordered skz in life, i got a jisung apple music pob.
So far, I have only really used Kpop USA. Their prices are pretty good, but a lot of the times the albums are slightly damaged. They also take a really long time to send them. I can't wait to try out some of these instead!
For SM groups, I would likely choose a US store as there aren't usually any pob's. Even with media mail, I find that the condition of the packages are much better (since they spend less time in transit and changing handlers).
I would recommend Pink Box aswell they have a lot of K-pop stuff (It’s in Texas btw) I forgot what was in there cuz I haven’t been in there for a while. I was looking at some photos and it looks like it has some albums I’m not sure but from where the angle was it looked like albums. They also have photos and stickers and plushies and light sticks? so yea I recommend Pink Box.

you should also look into which shops have reward programs if you care about those things - i know subk and choicemusicla do! you could also look into group orders on instagram/twitter (for me, this was a lot cheaper even with an exclusive pob) if you're comfortable!

the only thing I don't like about Choice Music is that they aren't the fastest shipping out preorder albums. I've had albums where I had to wait 2-3 weeks after it was released to get it shipped to me. I usually go with Kpop Music Town LA and they've shipped out within a week of the preorder ending, they have relatively the same shipping price as Choice!
That’s understandable. It sucks because the pandemics really causing some delays with shipments so that definitely wasn’t my experience pre- pandemic but I do agree with you!
I live in Houston and had gone to Eve Pink's physical stores many times. They're pretty legit. Bought one Red Velvet album from them before but the problem with them for me is that I'm not sure if buying or preordering from them would count towards any charts? I emailed to ask them once and they said that all their albums count towards charts but they never provided any proof of being a Hanteo member or Gaon :///
I also bought from Music Plaza's website one time too and ended up getting my credit card's information stolen by someone in California after the purchase lmfao my luck is booboo trash

In the uk we have a music store called hmv that will sometimes stock a really random selection of albums but theyre also selling neo zone punch for £65 (just 1) and then there’s two kpop stores and theyre also pretty expensive so I’m stuck joining gos to save like £10

The only time I’ve bought albums from Amazon is when I was late ordering stray kids limited album and they were sold out everywhere or for rare seventeen albums and when they both arrived at different time they were damaged
Now I buy from eBay because C*VID made shipping prices so dear and most shops won’t ship to Ireland

I think if I had to choose Music Plaza irl cuz I’ve found older EXO albums there and online Choice due to the cheaper shipping. I’ve purposely don’t order from Korea cuz 1. The shipping 2. I fear I will want to start collecting pre order benefits😭
I always order from EVE Pink the shipping is so fast especially since I live in Texas. They always do a bunch of signed album giveaways also. Choice Music isn’t my favorite to order from I’ve waited for over a month multiples times for albums they had in stock never again.

Choice Music is top-tier for albums, I just bought Enhypen and Seulrene's albums for my birthday and when I tell you it showed up FOUR DAYS after I bought it. AND they threw in a Sunghoon postcard for free 🥵

@@Wonhaed I got my package Saturday and it did take a while to get here but they said it was because they were behind on shipments because of COVID so it’s understandable. It got here in amazing condition and had everything with it. Shipping was $8 so not to bad of a price. Overall I am happy with my purchase from Kpop Music Town LA and am glad to start collecting SKZ!

i use choice music la for my albums and it kinda surprised me that they were the cheapest. i personally like to buy albums in groups (3-5 albums at a time) so i'm used to my shipping being $10 for about 4 albums (i live in florida), though it's worth it cause choice music lets you choice which version you want! i've also bought some nct, superm, and blackpink albums from target during their music discount periods
Im from texas But there is albums in California kpop republic albums are cheap and i love the postcard they give and the albums are cheappppp and shipping also always safe and they dont take long to ship i pre ordered nct album

They also say if your missing any album contents contact them and have a video of you first opening it so they can know your not lying and they’ll send you another to replace. You can also go on their website and click faq where they basically answer all your common questions for better answers than mine. Just click the three lines at the top left corner and you’ll see

Choice music takes so long to ship the items. Will buy non ults albums from them.
Choice music doesn’t have exclusive preorder benefit cards but if the group has a standard preorder card set (like twice normally does) you do get those even sometimes after the preorder period!!!

i might be wrong but i think that choice music stepped up their shipping time cuz they used to be slower than subk with shipping at least during covid but i recently bought my izone lightstick from them last week and it came in 3 days (i live 2 hours away)
