Nathan, this is spot-on clarity for me. I'm new to the game, 11 months, and have been fighting early extension. I stumbled on your site via a YT search for " golf swing foot pressure". The spin around / push off drill at 9:14, spinning your left hip back ~270 degrees, was an epiphany for me. Also, the upper cut move move / feel in your Part 1 video at ~9:55 is a great complimentary drill as well as where pressure should be at each stage of the swing. Great job.
Pure Gold, I have watched thousands of videos and your two on ground forces are the best. I couldn't work out why Mr. Hogan's left foot pivoted slightly to the target on the takeaway: nobody seemed to pick up this, thank You now I get it. I will be working on your drills. Big Aussie Fan
Hi I am a senior golfer of 74 I now have the most body friendly, repeatable and accurate golf swing I have ever experienced in my 40 years of playing golf. How and why it works is exactly what I think your video is all about I actively use my alternating feet only once pressing against the grounds. Another words my two swing thoughts are Leftpress/Rightpress. Done! Please allow me to explain To my way of thinking the golf swing is not a horizontal swing. The golf swing it if not a vertical swing. But in reality thé golf swing is a diagonal swing. Thé golf swing is what Mike Austin called his elusive compound pivot movements; the shifting and turning of the golfers hips as one solid movements. The Golf Swing Is a continuous diagonal movement that crosses over the swing circle center of our body known as our opposing obliques muscles groups. The golf swing is a pendulum going’s Tick/ Tock Or i could say: For the backswing when i kick the ground with my lead foot the ground kicks me back with my trail foot This causes the ground reaction force of Sir Issac Newton 3rd law: for every action their is an equal and opposite reaction; the torque of which automatically pivots my body back and forth as I never felt in my golf swing before. Thanks for reading.
Brilliant! You just earned another subscription. Best explanation so far of how ground forces work. This clearly shows how the timing is so critical. I have always been having trouble with my timing and when to precisely begin to shift my weight from my trail foot to my lead foot to gather and maintain as much power as possible. This helps tremendously. I will start practicing this now that I know better. Thank you!
Great video guys :) When i try this I lose my spine axis resulting in getting closer to the ball and early extension - my feeling get to the right side and push from inside of foot to left and then post up pushing up and back. Seems right but can't change the pattern?
Thanks! If your shaft is steep in transition, your body will always want to stand up to compensate, which then leads to less rotation through the ball. OR if your club face is too open coming down, you’ll also want to stand up to extend your arms in an attempt to shut the face. All of these things in the video can work well when shaft and face are in good positions 👍🏼
Man you are the moast Resaonable one ever saw in youtube. There is so much Bullshit and nonsens talking about the Swing. I would like to have a leson with you! That would be the first one couse i understood that there are no golfpros that know what they are talking. Great contents and nomber one for my opinion.
Thank you! 🙏🏼 I appreciate that. I would love to help you out. If you’re ever interested you can get more info on my online lessons here - skillest.com/app/profile/nathan-leonhardt-3

That was a very powerful video of how to use the ground, the best one I have seen so far!!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Didn't see this until later..So awesome that you took time to explain. I wondered how you could train it.!
Top class instruction. Thanks a lot
Thanks! 🙏🏼 👊🏼
Really good video. Well done.
Thanks! 🙏🏼
Recently discovered your gram and now this. Loving the content. Will keep an eye on your teaching for 2022. All the best.
Thanks a lot! Really appreciate that 🙏🏼
Great detail explanation with reasoning. Usual on UA-cam they are very brief
Thanks! This subject needs plenty of detail. Everyone feels things differently, there is no “one-way” to feel it properly. Thanks for watching
World class instruction, thank you
Thank you 🙏🏼 🙏🏼
