I didn't know about the port until the surgeon told me about it. It goes directly into the Superior Vena Cava of the heart. I really appreciate having it, I got both fluids and blood/ packed cells through mine aside from the chemo. It makes drawing lab work much easier, and they accessed it for the contrast for the breast MRI. Lots of reasons to get it.
@@cancerchats5127 Hei. Im having my next infusion next week. But the last one with the port went fine. I was still under anesthesia a bit tho. I Will see how it goes nest week. The scar hasnt totally healed yet either. It was a bit open after surgery. I told the nurse , but she said it looked fine. The nurse that came next day to give me the injection saw it , and cleaned it and covered it tho. Hope everything is alright with you . 🌷

I portet two days ago. Cant handle needles anymore
