Maybe _at this moment in time_ no one young footballer wants to grow up to be a Gary Neville - but maybe they should. Not because of the abilities on the pitch, but because of the traits off the pitch.

@@harrys1505 I mean that’s complete nonsense. The ‘one serious job’ he had? He owns and runs a club and has done fantastically well with it to get them into the football league. He is also a fantastic pundit, was a brilliant professional as a player, I’ve heard from this interview he’s just started a university and he runs a successful hotel business right beside Old Trafford along with a variety of restaurants. Your judging him on his one failure and completely ignoring his successes.

Gary Neville was a star when he first broke into Manchester United 1st team & England. During Euro 96 he was one of the most sought after young right backs in the world.
During two thirds of his career he was one of the best right backs in the world. But, because his play suffered as he got older, his ability as a footballer has been idiotically played down.
Gary Neville was one hell of a right back.

@@finn-im4jy think it might have something to do with the UAE human rights records, but honestly I’m not too sure I think a lot of people bash city and their owners just for the sake of it only because they’re so successful and have so much money to spend on the club. I think a lot of fans think its just unfair because most clubs in the premier league aren’t lucky enough to be owned by oil rich states
