Thanks for talking about my nation also i agree with the economy joke at the end
As a greek person I confirm this video is mostly accurate
Turkey implements a Military Junta in 1960, Greece 7 years later: you should try it myself
Very nice Video, but you used too many pictures of Constantinople with Minarets lol
you skipped the 2 balkan wars, the 11 coups de etats between 1920-1936, the invasion of cyprus by turkey
Yeah he skipped the eoka too. Such a based video
@@CanBonamaVEVO i counted eoka as part of the whole turkish invasion arc
@@ejoji4245 yes. Invasion.
Haha you lose.
We did not invade Cyprus. We intervened in Cyprus.
Love Greece from Morocco ❤
Small correction: Greece actually gained most of its land in the early 20th century from the Balkan Wars, not WWI (great video btw)

great video
if you decide to continue the series you should make one on Canada
the best one so far
Well, the video has quite a few inaccuracies, but it's honest work, I suppose
Watching this video made me realize we are probably living in the most peaceful period(Pax Americana) in the history of the human race.
So peacefull that we are in the verge of WW3
@@Billswiftgti Don't be naive.
A little historical inquiry and an assessment of current international affairs will show you that I am largely correct even with the Ukraine war and Middle Eastern Skirmishes.
We might be on the verge of ww3 but we are not at war.
@@comforth3898 If you consider the Cold war that has been since the WW's as a non war time you get 70 years in Europe, but were you specifically referring to it or globally, because globally there have been numerous violent regime changes, comes to mind Kissinger in SAmerica, Kissinger in Africa, Kissinger in SKorea,....all the way to Zelensky, Boris et al, Merckle, Macron, Trudeau, Thailand now and Taiwan tomorrow. Pax America you say...maybe it's time to stop drinking the koolaid. Wasn't that the Monsanto guy who said it? Something based on marketing, snake oil. There will be no WW3, this is it, hybrid war, social networks, journalists that don't go to war scenarios anymore, INGO's, violent protests, Oslo, national endowment for democracy, open societies, NATO arms sell (the bill is on the trillions). Now the EU is trying to be on even worst terms with the guys that own most of our resources, by inviting Russia's surrounding countries to enter the EU, countries that were already rejected a few years ago, haven't done anything about it's prerequisites. But yes, we are at war constantly and we live that since Nixon and his War on drugs, since than it's on terror, cyberterror, scamdemics, domestic prison, mandatory gene therapy, surveillance, it's a war on us! As an american you should be on your toes, the world just saw the country in flames and your journalists were laughing at you calling it "peaceful protests" and well Hillary made quite an impression with Libya (and the other wars, I was impressed with the amount of wars a peace nobel price could participate it's like the guy is teflon, of course once without the teleprompter he was just another conman). Any ways, I wish I was wrong but all that I've said has been repeated by both politicians, military and journalists, truly shocking stuff but the people seems fazed. Take care a sorry for the testament!
After so many videos of asking my wish has been fulfilled. Thank you AportuGeese
that video fking perfection :D
0:46 The contrast between the fact that most era's lasted for centuries whereas the golden age lasted just a decade is pretty scary ngl
Actually he made a mistake
The Golden age of Athens lasted almost all the 5th century BC
Specifically from 480 to 404 BC
(Anyone can google it)
yeap, that is why it's called the golden century, lasted almost a century but it was enough to make Athens globally recognized eternally.
as an average Greek appreciator, I can confirm that this video is 100% accurate. 🇬🇷
