    1st👍Hi, Stephen and Yhana. Thank you for sharing.
    Wow..this image tells us all the beauty of this town...1:06..The sea looks like the blue paint was spilled. The favorable weather is welcoming you. I recall this cable car railroad and that house...1:33
    The North Devon Coastal path is almost 100 miles long!😲..oh.to the Valley of Rocks.🚶‍♂Love the music and the view of the landscape on the cliff from the sea must be stunning...4:25... pretty kayaking weather...🚣‍♀
    It's nice to see there is a place you can rest and catch a breath on the left...5:13
    Wow...A boulder after boulder on both sides of the trail...5:55..this is like a postcard..7:51, 12:06, 15:08>>>
    I am glad I am not "Acrophobia " to seeing you standing at this edge of the cliff...8:05
    The highlight photos are incredible. I appreciate you capturing the sunset until the last moment.
    Well done. 🚣‍♀🚣‍♀🥰🥰

      I am sorry to say, but l'm still very grateful that you looked for my ancestor. The person you found may not be my ancestor. This is for two reasons. When l looked further l came across a lady whos family tree this person maybe connected to. Her ancestors surname was Rofe. She explaned to me that when the bar on the long ''S or F' goes through the middle and shows on both sides it is an 'F', when the stroke only shows as a tale on the back of the letter it's an 'S'. The long 'F' in the document had the bar on each side, so l an afraid the name was Rofe not Rose. In a way this is further evidence that my ancestor came from somewhere else. My nearest haplogroup relative after testing 700 markers is a Charles Ross in the USA who believes his ancestor was probably sent to Boston after the battle of Dunbar or Worcester. I have a suspicion my ancestor may here gone to Northern Ireland and then ended up back in the UK at some point.

    A stunningly beautiful seashore, Stephen. But, who's the "old man" blocking the views? (Peters words, not mine!) Lovely area. I know you've watched Ceri and Kat enjoying the views too. Would have loved to see you all together! It's a beautiful trail, but I agree, a little sketchy. We sure wouldn't go out on the rocks near the drop-offs. Better yet, I think we'd just enjoy the beautiful views and sunset from town! Love coming along with you and Peter though. Thanks for bringing us along.

      Hi Dave and Kathy, I agree, it would have been lovely to have made this a collaboration. I spent a few days in North Devon whilst Yhana was at school camp. I think Ceri and Kat might have gone down for the day as they live much closer I think. I would have loved to have met them, Kat is a very clever lady and Ceri is top guy.

      I apparently have a haplogroup that is a new branch of I-m223. My hunch about Scottish ancestry seem's to be coming true. I have a closest DNA relative living in the states who may be descended from one of those Scottish prisoners who were deported. I think my ancestor either settled in England or went th Northern lreland first before returning. It's all a mystery with lots of paths.
      Hope you and the family are all keeping well !

    • @StephenandYhana
      @StephenandYhana  2 роки тому +1

      @@michaelwhite8031 oh wow, now that sounds very interesting 😊 it might be a reason why we couldn’t get back further then 1660. (If I remember correctly) Ireland is a very big possibility and even Scotland with an earlier ancestor. Both countries are pretty much cousins 😊 I will see if I can find anything with your haplogroup. I am planning a few new DNA videos in the new year. I will probably include your own Haplogroup in that series too 😊

    • @michaelwhite8031
      @michaelwhite8031 2 роки тому +1

      I am sorry to say the ancestor you found for me may not be related to me. This is for two reasons, the long 'S' turned out to be a long 'F' so the surname was Rofe not Rose. I found a lady who this name was connected to and she confirmed it. I did what is called a big 'Y' test with family tree dna and they confirmed l have for now started a new sub branch from l-m223. The nearest person to me in my dna sample was 6 markers away out of 700 tested, his name was Charles Ross in the USA. Mr Ross believes his ancestor was deported to the USA after the battle of Dunbar or Worcester. I seem to have so many Scots and Northern lrish names in my tree that l wonder if my ancestor escaped to N.I. and then at a later date came back to England. It's all still a mystery l am afraid.

    • @StephenandYhana
      @StephenandYhana  2 роки тому +1

      @@michaelwhite8031 awww, that’s such a shame about the link I found. Although I’m a great believer that it’s better to eliminate anything incorrect. You will eventually find your ancestor. Sadly, Irish records are still not fully online yet. They have many years to go until they will be.
      So it might be a waiting game, unless you can identify possible areas in Ireland that has Ross family members recorded. Possibly even with the help of your DNA.
      I wish you the best of luck with your continued search. It took me 20 years to find my great grandfather’s record. Due to no records online.
