I am uploading new video on exadata basic understanding shortly. You can refer that. Eighth Rack Quarter Rack Half Rack Full Rack These are the size of Racks available in exadata. While choosing these boxes you can select either 2 socket or 8 socket. X8-2 (2 db nodes) or X8-8 (8 db nodes)
@@motormotion9 8 sockets and 2 sockets does not mean 8 or 2 db nodes. 8 sockets means each db node will have 8 sockets. (If you have a linux system, check out the command lscpu to understand what sockets mean.) Similarly, 2 sockets means each db node will have 2 sockets cpu architecture. (Each of the 2 sockets will have 24 cores. and each core will have 2 logical threads. So when you check the output of top command, you will see 96 CPUs. i.e 2 sockets * 24 cores * 2 threads = 96.)
@@gowthambabusr5548 there is nothing as such. A full rack exadata will have 8 db nodes. A half rack will have 4 db nodes and a quarter rack will have 2 db nodes. Think of db nodes as actual computers and you can think of sockets as the number of CPUs inside that computer. So 2 sockets will mean that there are 2 CPUs each of which could have multiple cores which inturn can have multiple threads.
Sure please stay tuned. I will upload as much as possible. I am trying my level best to make best use of this platform. Please do inform all your colleagues to make use of these videos.
Are you giving any online training in regular basis?please let me know if you have started any batch or about to start. It would be more helpful to know in details everything.nice session and nice expalined.thanks for sharing. I got many doubts .

Excellent Introduction and Thanks for sharing knowledge.Keep up the Good work. Looking forward for technical posts on each topic.
Thanks.
I Will do all these video for betterment of everyone's career.
Fantastic explanation for Exadata Architecture. Nicely Defined. Well Done. Thanks
You are welcome
Thank you Malik Ji for sharing knowledge. Very much helped this video.
Awesome initiative bro. Thanks a lot for the quick overview of complete Exadata architecture.
Thank you Bro. session is simple and informative.
Thank you very much for such detailed explanation 🙏🙏🙏. Very few share knowledge and your one among them👍
You are welcome
Great session
Thank you Bharath and keep learning. Please do share with you friends and colleagues. Sharing is caring.
Superb explanation
Thank you.
Clear explanation.Thank u
You are welcome
Thanks a lot Mallik !!!
Thanks for videos 😊
Thanks for sharing your valuable knowledge. Please make one of exacheck report.
Will do soon
Nice info mallik034 ❤
X8-2 - > what is meant by 2? Quarter rack - 2 . half -> 4. Full -> 8 . Is it correct ?
I am uploading new video on exadata basic understanding shortly. You can refer that.
Eighth Rack
Quarter Rack
Half Rack
Full Rack
These are the size of Racks available in exadata.
While choosing these boxes you can select either 2 socket or 8 socket.
X8-2 (2 db nodes) or X8-8 (8 db nodes)
You mean to say X8-2 - two sockets that means two db nodes ?
@@motormotion9 8 sockets and 2 sockets does not mean 8 or 2 db nodes.
8 sockets means each db node will have 8 sockets. (If you have a linux system, check out the command lscpu to understand what sockets mean.)

@@chinzzz388 Additionally X*-2 have 8 db nodes(max) and X*-8 have 2 db nodes(max) ryt ?

Think of db nodes as actual computers and you can think of sockets as the number of CPUs inside that computer.
So 2 sockets will mean that there are 2 CPUs each of which could have multiple cores which inturn can have multiple threads.
-2 means that each node supports 2 socket/2 processors and -8 means each node has 8 sockets and supports 8 physical processors.
Awesome video. Thank you very much for this. Maybe you can subtitle in English in your videos.
I will try
Hi, please suggest equally performing AWS options for migration of Oracle Exadata databases.
So -8 node has more processing power than -2 node
Hi Malik please upload some more videos on exadata please

You are very x30 speed on the topic... Being a tech guy, as a new commer to this Exadata unable to understand some concepts.
Its noted. I will try to showdown and reduce my phase.
voice is not audible
Thanks for you valuable to feedback. Its noted
Audio is very weak, louder would have helped.
your voice is toooo low .if i hear your voice, i have to buy big speaker set.
Yeah. I do understand. I believe i had issues with mic earlier video.
I had fixed that and latest video have good volume.
