Class act, O’Neil, who returned 8 years later to complete his degrees and fully-graduate, while leaving endowments to LSU to help fund an on-campus alumni hotel complex without his name except for one suite in which he stays when he is back in town. A humble man of great accomplishments and true gratuity for all he achieved.
Cach Brown was my 7th grade Jr high coach and PE teacher. He was the teacher I remember most.He cared about us kids just like he did his players at lsu.He stayed 1 year at my school Garfield Jr high in Berkley Cal.Andthen started his coaching career .He made us believe we could suceed. Thanks coach brown.
He was wilt by far but I was a huge hornets fan and seemed that all my pro teams would hit rock bottom I was loyal to ZO but shaq was the second best I ever seen play the position
I wasn't quite into college basketball when Shaq was at LSU. But I was a big NBA fan. The very first NBA draft I watched was the 1992 NBA Draft when Shaq was picked 1st.
I had to come back and watch this again. Going to the LSU vs Kentucky game at the PMAC. They are naming the court after Dale Brown tonight, im sure Shaq will be there with him. I saw Shaq and Dale together as a little boy with my dad. And now to see them FINALLY name the court after Dale, its going to be an honor to witness in person. Dale Brown is a true Legend.
I first saw Shaq play when he was at Jay HS. I was also at LSU the same years he was. He was a MONSTER in HS, and well while at LSU I will say to this day he was the most dominant athlete in any sport at any time IMO. Seriously for those who remember him at LSU he was on some video game shit. Remember this his back when most players played four years….Had he stayed at LSU there is no doubt they would have won a national championship. But the whole hack a Shaq was getting out of hand. I’ve not watched this documentary yet but I lived it so those are the facts.
That day Charlotte got the number 2 pick I ain't living I was disappointed but I wouldn't trade zo I know this isn't about zo but I take loyalty from this this even look at the patariots and how they stayed loyal
I had seen this a couple times Two nights ago I was watching video on history of North Dakota…. Basketball…. Water …. Harrison Dam …. And the list city of Elbowoods I was surprised to hear Dale Brown commenting on the story. I didn’t know Coach Brown was a North Dakota boy! I was very impressed, Dale!
Dude a lot of people forget about Vernel Singleton on that team, and it’s understandable why, I mean Chris Jackson, Shaq and Stanley, Vernel was a stud too.

Shaq, "It's not about Black or White, it's about wrong or white!"
Shaq had some great authority figures in his life from his 2nd father, Dale Brown, Phil Jackson, Jerry West, Pat Riley
I loved this.. I didn't know Dale Brown was a real one!
One of the most inspiring stories I have ever listened to
