    The way he talks about directing and acting shows that he's a very creative person, having a unique way of looking at things differently. Love him.

    This video illustrates perfectly why I love Alan. He is such a brilliant creative mind that you get overwhelmed at his train of thought just trying to keep up with it.
    But whatever you do manage to understand of what he says is sheer genius. This is why he is an outstanding actor. Because the camera can always see him thinking and listening. Responding to what the other one said. He's magical!
    Who else does that when they act?? Nobody!

    Re. the quote about the camera likes you if it can see you thinking and listening ... you can always see him thinking and listening in interviews.

    The US was very lucky to have him. He did theater. And it was brilliant. I'm just hoping he didn't conform too much into the Hollywood lifestyle...

    This is the wrong format completely for interviewing Alan Rickman. Completely misjudged and poorly conducted Tim Sabastian was rubbish.
    The New York Times interview with him is a joy to watch.
