They say “An item is only worth, what someone is prepared to pay for it” whether that be a bag, car, plane ticket, a house or a meal in a restaurant. If people buy what they want, they may think “I wish it had been cheaper”, but they are still ultimately prepared to pay the asking price for it, because they like it enough to warrant passing over their money, and if they don’t like the asking price, they can haggle or move on to something else which “price wise” suits them better.
I think the Lady Dior is OKAY. I'm mixed on the quilting pattern and do not like the chunky handles or that they only half fall over when put down, so if I were to ever get one, I already know that I would seek out either a neutral preloved one or one of their limited editions. I looove the look of the hounds tooth one from years back (the one Sophie Shohet has) and one or two of the grey variations; and some of their embroidered ones are really beautiful. The latter I'm not sure if it'd be worth the money, though, since you'd have to dress very neutrally to remotely pull something like those off, so I highly doubt I'd get my money's worth out of it. Those are more artwork than handbag to me at present. Glad to see you're enjoying your rockstar black one though! That is the benefit of continuing to consider a staple like the Lady Dior: Eventually, they _will_ produce one in a style that totally suits you, so that's great you found yours!
I have a Lady Dior in Fuscia and I adore it- mine is lambskin medium and the quality is amazing! I agree with the cons but I don’t care and I love mine 💕💕
I will be in Paris next month and plan on visiting Dior. I’ve contemplated purchasing this bag in the medium as it’s just more practical but for $5,600 ….. I just don’t love it that much. I’m a Louis Vuitton woman. There are bags there that I love more than this one. Like most comments I’ll just buy one pre-owned if I ever decide to buy one.

The Lady Dior is one of my favorite bag. I do prefer it over any Chanel bag. Your bag is beautiful. I have a pre loved one that have leather bows around the top. It is a limited edition.

I love the look of the bag, especially in that color way but I would definitely wait to get it on the pre-loved market. It’s much too expensive and the re-sale value is trash.
Ironically agree on the con for handle and the charms noise at first. But it kinda grew on me and I also find it as something uniquely lady Dior. Another con for me is that the studs/stand on the bottom of the bag is just not stable. The bag itself has a weight on it and it topples easily.
One of the best styling videos- this bag looks stunning with each outfit. Love the ABC size and strap. It’s modern and edgy yet classic. I would choose over a Chanel
I love the Lady Dior. I have 2 and also have a stunning Lady D-Joy. It’a a shame that they don’t hold their value, hopefully that will change in the future. I find the quality in Dior purses is extremely good.
So get what you're saying. I have the Lady Dior but in the ltd edition matt black studded version. Would also add for my version, that it's very heavy (but that may be bc the stud weight). However, like you say, LOVE the design so much that I'm willing to overlook it. ;)

Love my mini Dior's,I love the flap so easy to get in and out with out scratching my hands on the zipper. The older I get I don't want to deal with hard zippers or drawstrings, just difficult. I have 5 mini's now,just hold all I need.When you aren't using them,if you have a little Dior ribbon just gently tie a little bow.I already have a matte black, but really like yours, lovely design,thanks for the video. 💞
What a unique Lady Dior. The studs add a modern twist. I admire the craftsmanship at Dior but I have yet to pick one because the flopping handles bug me a bit for use of the bag. I do enjoy seeing all of their artistic styles, especially the artist collaboration Lady Diors.
Love how you mentioned the resale market. If I ever do get a lady that’s where I will go. To me, as beautiful as this bag is. For me paying full retail is not worth it.
💡 i keep the bag handles upright by using the gold star ⭐️ on a string, that comes with the packaging, to loop around the handles. They stay upright when stored 👍🏾
It was me that told you about the strap. Another tip with the small handles this time, to get them to stand up….lift them up and pull them over to one side, they should stand up then. Hth 💕

I was the same, I didn’t like the LD because it was too prissy for me. But I did purchase a “mini LD in red studded calfskin”, with black studs and black hardware. It’s the one with different font “Dior” charms 💕 Only one person has unboxed it on YT - but with distressed silver hardware. You can find it if you search for the name. I find it fits my lifestyle because I can fit my essentials - phone, keys, shades, etc. I carry my cards in the inside pocket so I’ll don’t take a wallet/cardholder.
it looks lovely on you as you are so young and edgy, but I cannot help that it would be far too old fashioned and aging for me! The ultramatte black hardware is gorgeous!

I don't remember who on UA-cam kept the satiny bow that wrapped her bag when she bought it from Dior and uses it to keep the handles attached / together when she stores her bag. I thought it was a great - and very pretty - idea. 😘thanks for this great review!

I bought the bag exactly the same like this just only one month ago. But my bag happens some creases like round lines at the diamond figure just two sides of bag (not at the front and back of the bag) even I use it only two times. I hope your bag remains the same like when you bought it. Please comments for me. I feel so bad for my bag.
Been looking at the Lady Dior bag for ages, but only this(the diamond bag)I really love! Only thing is the strap....I feel maybe it's a little too bulky and plain compared to the detailed bag. Anyone know if it's possible to get a thinner strap?

With those new prices, I would rather buy Chanel. The use of these bags are cumbersome with opening and diagonal crossed body straps. I would rather put my money toward Chanel minis and trendy cc.
I like the Trendy CC by Chanel as well and agree for the retail price Chanel is a better buy and will hold its value. The Lady Dior is iconic in its own right though. The ultra matte Dior leather is stunning!

No meaning of getting ur money back. Even u buy any bag after 5 years with the same value. U bought it with. But not long after I bought it frm the store, the colour I wanted was available preloved d’oh 🥲 I don’t understand why Dior bags can’t retain its value 🤔 the quality & service are way way better than Chanel.
Yes it can be hard to find the exact one pre loved. Do you use yours much now? It is sad they don’t retain their value so well but some of the popular ones do better.

This is one of the most understated classic bags at a much better price. I tend to see Chanel classic flaps and Hermes Birkins a lot more than this.
