Please kindly stop argument on birth place of Sri jayadev. He is still living through his immortal kavya. So dear listeners just respect his deed and with eternal love say radhe radhe😊😊😊
True, he is a universal poet. He was reborn in Sri Lanka with Prof Sucharitha Gamlath's translation to Sinhala. Sri Jayadeva touches heart through his amazing text, across cultures!
The translation has been sanitized, as many have said in the comments. I see this poem not as about Krishna being a sex-crazed man, but as a God who accepts joyfully whatever his devotees offer him, including their bodies for physical pleasure. Thus by giving to and taking pleasure from the Gopi, he becomes her supreme husband.
Ahaa complete bliss ! An eternal elixir landing from the brink of golokdham ... Radhe Shyam 💙💛 can someone please tell me which raaga has been used here ??
It's amazing how the love between two people was celebrated centuries back in our country. If u go by lines, it's a sensuous flow of love in all aspects including explicit physical love making. Sad we have gone back miles under Victorian morality.
Humann 67.....this could be at another plane also ....not about physical and carnal bliss .... but about the divine Krishna causing an exhilarating spiritual bliss that comforts a heavy heart and lightens the soul...I think the expressions do not point to a kamasutra like episode only... The beginning is intriguing and possibly the hint.... just a food for thought .....certainly sensuality was not taboo nor are these great poetry all about amorous indulgences of a raunchy god figure many western Indologists have interpreted it to represent possibly in the light of Victorian morality !
@@nrkkvsnlcom while keeping your views in highest regards and since u have given thoughts in depth... I had written about love at all levels including physical love. Y would there be a need to shy away from physical love at all, making it a taboo ? Moreover Krishna was more human than any other gods. If you dissect the lines for meaning..for eg.. from 3.43...."nakha likhita ghana sthana bhaaram "....it speaks about the nailmarks on the breasts. Similar description and beautiful verses of love making is evident through out. The actual meaning is more relatable rather looking around for unearthly pure spiritual bliss.

Beautiful composition+singing. May i know what raga(m) it is tuned, doesnt sound like Shudda Sarang to me, it looks more like Hamir Kalyani or some other Kalyani derivative ? thanks
You mean I did not mention breast and clawing with nails and portraying Krishna as sex crazy? I have translated almost 25 asthapathis and created a playlist too . I am almost certain that Jayadev’s poetic imagery is so artistic that he uses the concept of a heavy heart as throbbing bosom and kisses as calming actions even caressing the feet on a newly sprouted lotus leaf ... I did not do any sanitization, there are 20 other translations for you to study and evaluate the cause of your disturbance !
