One of the best songs in 2000's decade. Undoubtedly. Chaz Hatherley really made it... She's a respectful genius. Even for David Bowie this tune is brilliant, so... Why doesn't have more recognition? This is such a pity. :(
I agree with the comments below, this tune is simply mesmeric, once it gets into your head theres no escape!! its a fantastic song, and the video is just brilliant. Its a shame that real musicians and real song writers are not getting recognition, the muck that polutes our airwaves irratates me. This is a stunning tune from the naughtys! Viva Charlotte!
My name is Adam Charles Tocock and I love this song so much that i started crying when my housemate raul said he thought the third base line was only average. I will do time for anyone that saiz that charlotte is not the most beautiful woman in the entire world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree, excellent track and video - animation by Edgar Wright's brother Oscar, a wonderfully talented artist who did this on the cheap as a favour. pays to have talented friends i guess.
Me, behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladdin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with 7 men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac Man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies that always had the munchies. The fault is not mine!
Pressed, depressed...honestly either one is wrong, since there's no 'pressing' involved, unless you count the mouse button. So, I should've pressed the mouse button to activate the mute function. I don't know why I wrote 'depressed'; maybe it's how listening to this song left me!
Sounds like XTC in the Steve Lillywhite era. Wonderful! Great vocal & writing. The guitar parts knock me out! Who has done music so melodic, with such scratchy and colorful guitar parts and unordinary chord changes in the last 20-30 years other than Charlotte?
Ash are my favourite band ever but I love this song especially the riff. Kinda think it was harsh how she was told to fuck off. I loved charlotte's influence on the band and understand why she didn't like recording Meltdown. Keep on going Charlotte as I love your style. You Rock!! :)
Cos we all take a lot of mind altering drug cocktails Undeux, or should i say 1,2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! blaaaaaaa um ooooooo Any way Adam Charles Tocock keeping it real (p.s If anyone feels like donating any used underwear we should get in touch!)
She's a real original. I was amazed at the quality of her songs after she left Ash. She was a revelation
the tune is nuts, it just wouldn't work at all in my head until i listened to it several times over... lovely stuff.
cant believe this was made at 2007 , so much ahead of its time
Criminaly overlooked. She's fantastic
the guitar in this song reminds me of what I loved best from Failure

This was directed by Oscar Wright, brother of the legendary Edgar Wright, who is the director of legendary movies HOT FUZZ, and SHAUN OF THE DEAD!
Memories of Star Fox 64 flashed through my head as she's going through the rings.
Starfox SNES.
Just bloody brilliant
The song rocks and the video makes it rock even more. Charlotte rules.

It has to be said, Charlotte Hatherley is one of the best female songwriters. Very clever melodies!
I would have liked to be inside her brain when she wrote this melody. I couldn't do better. Single of the year already. Awesome! Simply a classic.
Gorgeous tune, gorgeous video!
Brilliant, pure genius!
love the song and video :)

Its one of those songs that get stuck in your head:d
this the first song i heard from charlotte hatherley,i couldn't stop listening to it afterwards lol
her voice is beautiful, and she is beautiful herself. Man, what do you want more?
Those eyes... that smile... and that riff...
42 seconds into the vid....that hairstyle is just so BATTLE OF THE PLANETS....i love it :)
I've spent so long to find this again only to have it buried in my watch later playlist! thank you for uploading
That guitar line makes this song. Sooooooo good
NVR FORGET THIS SONG!
My name is Adam Charles Tocock and I love this song so much that i started crying when my housemate raul said he thought the third base line was only average. Brilliant!
probably the only "singer runs in rain" moment that actually works.
This song is BRILLIANT!!!

Amazing video, the visuals are really something, I love this song, it kicks ass!!
2:22 reminds me of the challenge course in the X-wing games...amazing song!
Damn.. i wish josh homme knows her and bring her into desert sessions next volume. Shes so fitting.
What an excellent tune! 2007?? How did I miss this one?
Totally. Especially when she's in her raincoat.
Makes me want to see a Halo Jones movie.
Superb Vid, superb song, gorgeous lass! Well done Charlotte!
this flows a lot slicker and follows the music more. i like it.
I agree, excellent track and video - animation by Edgar Wright's brother Oscar, a wonderfully talented artist who did this on the cheap as a favour. pays to have talented friends i guess.
Spectacular Spectacular!

esto me recuerda mucho a las animaciones del ace combat 5 XD pero en naves, me encanta el riff del principio, ya stoy intentando aprendermelo!! jaja.

I heard the illustrator was the same as "Red Star," Russian Dystopian-Drama Comic with superpowers.
Great!
this is a great love song
I'd buy her a crate just for the riff. Big fan!
Me, behave? Seriously? BUT LOVE THIS VID!!!
sooo good!
brilliant
Awesome in every way,
Somebody sure fancies David Bowie ;-)
Great video and an early contender for single of the year I reckon.
I'd really like an HD version of this video.
Pressed, depressed...honestly either one is wrong, since there's no 'pressing' involved, unless you count the mouse button. So, I should've pressed the mouse button to activate the mute function. I don't know why I wrote 'depressed'; maybe it's how listening to this song left me!

I only realised tonight that it's in the same key as Making Plans for Nigel.
yup, shes with me now
I agree.
The brother of Edgar Wright (Director of Spaced, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz) made this. So he did.
I love Charlotte and her work, but Ash is still my favourite band.
If she ever came to the states. Sadly it isn't happening anytime soon let alone the state I need it to be.
Ash are my favourite band ever but I love this song especially the riff. Kinda think it was harsh how she was told to fuck off. I loved charlotte's influence on the band and understand why she didn't like recording Meltdown. Keep on going Charlotte as I love your style. You Rock!! :)
Hell, yeah, I wanna "happen."
One of my favourites.
1. Song. 2. Video. 3. A native Londoner like myself, a North Londoner like myself.

@Mister32 yer welcome
Ahh que saudades..
@hektikheck THAT'S what it reminds me of, THANK YOU!
She's damn good solo. And i thought she was great in ASH.
Amazing! come play in ireland...por favor :)
Love this track. Anyone know what album its on??
Ayyyyyy lol
Anyone noticed how her bottom row of teeth curve inwards? I've watched this video loads of times and only just noticed that.
Ok cool thanks for that :-)
This won the "Over Use of a Phaser" award at the 2006 Brits, and Charlotte's never had to play the comb and paper since.
Is it true that her and edgar wright split up?
Know what she's thinking at 3:27? "Totally worth it."
This sounds like sonic the hedgehod computer game music
Just bought this CD. And I realize that is Bowie in the video. Sort of.
3:09 Dishonorably discharged. Damn. Great song though. I would pay any price to see her live.
I think it's just PT duty in the rain.
Adam Charles Tocock is indeed a gay. "Whats this video all about then?" I asked him, "Grange Hill
2050?" I still can't find some of me teeth.
Una especie de especie tribujo a "qué pasaría si el Major Tom volviera a casa" ;D de David Bowie
wos host gsogt? i checks ned!
Cos we all take a lot of mind altering drug cocktails Undeux, or should i say 1,2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! blaaaaaaa um ooooooo
Any way Adam Charles Tocock keeping it real (p.s If anyone feels like donating any used underwear we should get in touch!)
i mean, this song was already good to begin with.lol
EDGAR*
Atlas Shrugged?
Ah, someone else gets it too.
mute button depressed?
Surely it would just be 'pressed' if you wanted to turn the sound off.
lol
@ganamoha Very well said. Ahhhh Failure. I'm still stuck on them.
Similar concept to the BASTARDO video (live comic)
9 people like Justin Beiber..
Christ say her hair isn't like that...
kind of weird song..
