Pulling that Tony Fernandez is great. There are a lot of players that were a few time allstars that just aren't on modern products and it's hard to find autographs that weren't ones sent in or handsigned. Granted you also don't want those guys in 1000 dollar products currently but if you can find an early 00s certified auto just of a player you were a fan of, go for it because it's not like there's anything new coming. And if you're in your 30s-40s a lot of your favorite players are dead.
@@mikemelfa yeah so there are so many people who were fansthat would love his cards but then you got people chucking them aside for a guy batting .120 in dominican league because someone added 444/599 on it
What a nice little rip. I-as is the case with many modern collectors-have largely moved away from Panini. In my case it's less to do with the logos/team names thing and more to do with how samey their designs are (and their insistence that Panini Points counts as a hit). But I gotta say, I rather like this Hometown Heroes design. Unique without going so far outside the box as to be distracting. And, more key, the player photos don't feel generic. Maybe Panini has just gotten a lot worse over the last decade.
i say it every time but getting a dude who got 56 homers and it being worth less than a guy who batted .175 but it has a sparkle gloss over it with a 1/299 stamp and him zig zagging a line on a sticker being worth more than hall of famers is why this hobby is dying. Check out my Evan White 1/1 it's worth more than a jersey and baseball signed by harold baines somehow. puke
I agree Curt deserves to be in even though he's a jerk. But the other two I can't agree with, even being a pirates fan, bonds was such an obvious cheater later in his career.
My dad was Andy van slykes neighbour when he was a kid and he got nicknamed "spike" by Andy van slyke because of my dad's hair.
Love that Paul molitor autograph
Buddy Bell was the first player I liked as a kid. I remember getting a Buddy Bell bat at bat giveaway day. Those autos were really cool.
What a fun rip. The autos were definitely the sweet spot, taking us back to the eighties and nineties. Thanks Jabs.
I bought one of these years ago and pulled a Bob Horener auto.
Used to love breaking this. All sorts of stuff in there.
Nice video man!
How do these feel cheaper than a half bent out of a fresh box panini card?
More yellow than I ever want to see in my life 😂
Lenny Randle was the Mariners player blowing the ball foul. 😊
Would have enjoyed seeing a little love for Lenny Dykstra. Always my favorite.
You’d be correct that it’s the 1st Tony Fernandez you’ve pulled this year as well as several others

Yeah, Tony Fernandez passed pretty young back in 2020 after battling illness for 3 years. So, I don’t think he signed much late in his life.

The sports discs were produced after the same discs that you would get in the7-11 cups back in the day in the 80’s
Tony Fernández was a better hitter than you’re giving him credit for. Hit over .300 several times and finished his career with a .288 average
Liked him a lot when he played for the Yanks later in his career. He died too young (just 57).
Almost forgot about these! Thanks for the video, Jabs! 🙏
Nice design. (I think Puig was conned by crooks.)
That was a lot of fun to see! Some great player autos in that one. Thanks Jabs! 🙏
Nice cards! Enjoyed the video!
I remember Mark Grace being upset about Dunston rifling a 90+ mph throw from short. I don't blame him lol!
Puig is playing at KBO (Korean league)
ive got lots of these. check all the backs man! there are sps i didnt notice at first. good vid. i forgot about those....
Tony Fernandez passed away back in 2020
I really enjoyed that set
There's state cards and zip code cards. Zip codes are more rare.

Love the autographs
Puig is playing in Korea
puig still on dodgers payroll. played in korea last season
Good player selection....could do without the red stars on the front...good price and value.
Man those were great autographs I would love to get a Shawon dunston auto.
Not bad, but they kind of look like something that I would pull out of a box cereal.😂
If you read this thanks . My autistic son loves your intro
That’s awesome! How old is he?
Second love throwback Thursday
Dickie Thon was originally a good hitter but unfortunately took a fastball to the face and was never the same.
Nice video
Where is mike trout
You couldn't throw a fastball past Molitor...if sliders were illegal he'd have hit .400
Those are neat and a decent price for the year and the hits.
id call this a good deal if the cards had team logos on them but that will always bother me about panini
Second deserves a pin

Hi

First deserves a pin
I don’t understand why anyone would purchase panini baseball cards. I’ve yet to see any that don’t look like garbage
Probably my least favorite design I’ve ever seen
