I thought it was jeremiah pretending to be Jerome at his funeral to his followers, when he told them to dig up "his" body he had them put a blade in his pocket off screen

@@junkbox6487 Jeremiah created videos of himself posing as Jerome, along with giving Jerome's followers a script to follow so that his plans were set in motion.
He wasn't pretending to be Jerome in the graveyard. I'm sure within the script that Jeremiah made for Jerome's followers he told them to follow him, and being loyal to Jerome, they did.
Either Jeremiah planted that knife on Jerome's body himself, or yeah, had a follower do it.
