Nice talk and style. Love to see rose petal or curl styles. Also hair colour to recommend would be herbatint saw it at a health food store and Yannie the locologist had video on it to seemed good🤷🏾♀️
I keep hearing that coloring our locs can damage and thin out our locs. Your natural hair color is beautiful on your dark chocolate skin Sis. Don't worry about the front of your hair, Just brush it lightly. Large cornrows on your locs would be pretty. Stick with what works for YOU.
Sis, our hair is meant to be soft and dry to the touch and not necessarily moist. Kinky hair actually repels water. Using oil makes it brittle too, even light oils. You don’t have to retwist your thick, fluffy locs either. Twisting is the new ‘touch up’ it seems. It’s so much work too. The 2-3 nches of Afro hair at the base of the loc is the key to volume and bounce. You just have to get used to seeing yourself with the fluffy look. It’s way easier. Thanks for the fun videos! Good luck!
Thank you for responding! Yes, that’s what I meant, my locs don’t always feel SOFT.. I don’t necessarily want them to feel moist lol And I agree, I def don’t like retwisting too often. I usually go a few months in between 🙂 Thank you!
@@TheTelltaleTasha Indeed. You are most welcome. I documented my journey as well to spread the info and share my ups and downs. All the best to you and I’m looking forward to more cool vids 👍🏾
Hey!! I loved the barrel twist! They came out great! As far as color.. if you're not looking to do anything permanent, you can try hair paint wax. A couple of natural brands make this (or your local beauty supply), and it's great for a color change that only lasts a short while. I've used this on my loose natural and loc'd hair and have had great results. It washes out very well, I've never had issues with residue (I've only kept it in for a max 10 days). It's also somewhat moisturizing. If you're just looking to do some fun looks, I'd suggest giving this a try.
Thank you so much! And REALLY?! I was sure that the wax would get trapped inside the locs and I’ve literally not given them a second look because of that. Lemme do some research! 🧐🧐
You did an awesome job Tasha! I’d love this style on you so very much! I have seen a lot of videos where they do “interlocking” for their re-ties. Maybe you could look at a few UA-cam videos to see if this is something that may help you in the front. Good luck! And I love your hair!❤❤❤❤
Thanks Myra! I did see about interlocking when I was first thinking about starting my locs, but I already know I’m going to want to comb them out in the future. I don’t think you can comb them out if you interlocked because you’re essentially creating knots. If someone reads this and has more insight, feel free to comment!

@@TheTelltaleTasha It makes so much sense, Tasha and I didn’t know you could comb out your Locs! Knowledge is power!! 😉
You have low porosity hair. My hair gets dry too, after I have oiled my locs. Sis youtube YANNIE the loctician. She always gives good loc information.
I LOVE Yannie!!
Did you blunt them yet?
Hi! I didnt plan on doing that. Any reason I should?
@@TheTelltaleTasha lol I meant count*** them
Oh lol no I haven’t counted them
