Ive never heard of this style before but I already incorporate it in my home. I love organic, natural materials, hand carved wood and stone, geodes, etc. Those concrete planters are very old world style. Beautiful.
This was so helpful! I’m planning a complete renovation and wanted to learn some more about this style: you’ve answered every question I had! Super informative :)
I am so enjoying your videos. They are so informative and lovely, As an interior designer in NYC that lived in Japan you selected the most gorgeous examples OMEDETO
I live in Tokyo, Japan and been living here for over 11 years...and so far in here I've never heard anyone called their interior style " Wabi Sabi " or " Zen" or " Japandi" 😂😂😂
Japandi is a fusion of Scandinavian and Japanese 'Zen' design which was coined by interior designers, it's very very popular. For people from those countries it's just how they decorate their home. Same idea with Wabi Sabi, it's like an appropriated term I guess?
Thank you for this video and the content was valuable. Is it possible you can suggest online stores where to purchase furniture, fabric, and accessories? Loved this video, great job!
Loved your content and explanation! Could you please add videos on traditional Indian design concepts? There are elements very specific to each major region, but surprisingly there are no videos that offer an instructional destruction and organized data like your approach here. It would be very helpful.
Japandi is the style and wabi sabi is a japanese philosophy of embracing things with imperfections. However I loved how you have shown so pictures and covered so much ground .
I like your video, it really gave many ideas about how I can maintain a wabi sabi space. 👍🏻 I realise though that your rate of speech increased at the 3.5min mark or so 😅😂😂 and what started off as measured, calm and wabi sabi got more urgent and rushy rushy
This is not Japanese style. It’s Belgian! Stop misleading ppl. There are some Scandinavia influences. The only Japan thing I see here is the low profile seating.
That bathroom was amazing
I love your videos. Elegant, stylish and compendious.
Finding beauty in imperfection 👍
