I-35 expansion moves forward amid environmental concerns

The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization approved funding for the I-35 Capital Express Central Project to widen the highway through Central Austin, despite concerns from Austin City Council members about potential environmental impacts and a failed motion to postpone funding until key environmental studies could be completed.

I don't think we get it ! They only started I-35 back then ! They haven't finished the hwy at all, yet ! All this is are repairs being done as they make effort to one day complete the highway ! I was born in 1967. In the 80's I saw all the construction being done in San Antonio; with what looked like Bandaids being put on a road that broke all the time ! 😮😮 If you ask me ! I don't think they ever finish this I-35 Hwy in our life time ! It's seems good for TDOT profit ! Because all the Business that are going to be paid for moving will cost us the tax payer, not the Builders ! 😊 Thank you ! And have a Blessed day with Jesus Christ ! 😊 Nowhere in the country is anyone experiencing this it seems! 😮 Having a hwy always being worked on for decades ! 😢
