I agree with all your review points. Purchased this about 2 years ago for my large red eared sliders & they knocked the platform all over the place, ramp was too small, platform could not accommodate their size & kept falling over. I should have researched more before buying. Ultimately made a DIY basking area. 💚
My friend used that same basking platform for his adult male Map turtle that was 5 inches. It was good besides the suction cups at the bottom. He fixed that problem by holding the bottom down with a couple large rocks.
I use it with the posts suspended from a baking rack that sits on top of the tank with the basking lamp. 50gal tank 12yr red ear slider, the whole tank is swimming space as the platform only takes up 3in from the top
Please do a video detailing the kind/ how you set up your fx6 filter media. I have a 80 gallon tank with a fx6 with mainly bio media , and a cascade 1000 with mechanical and bio media in it. For some reason I’m getting a black algae like growth all over the fake plants and decorations ( all siliconed down like in your tank setup videos.) Thanks in advance, keep making the great educational videos 👍
Yep. I bought this POS assembled it, stuck it to the bare glass bottom, and my then-5.5" RES turtle managed to keep the top wet all the time. What's the use of a 'dock' if the turtle can't be dry at least part of the time? I went back to the Zoo Med Turtle Dock Large. But I thought I was buying Extra Large, which was the size I wanted, but now I still use the Large until I can find an Extra Large for sale. p.s. you can buy new frames and suction cups; or if you ask nicely Zoo Med will send you a new frame free if your frame breaks (the frame will evventually break when replacing suction cups because the UV light weakens the plastic frame.). The Zoo Med website says you can rejuvenate suction cups in warm water plus white vinegar, but I have not tried that yet. They sell a Floating Pond Dock, but the price is astronomical. I will make my own rather than pay $80 for that big one.

Whatever works! What worked for me was throwing it out!

Do you think the cover will fit on a 75 gallon tank without the trim?

How do you make the water clear from the sand substrate?
Rinse it over and over until the water in a bucket of the sand runs clear.
In need of a Turtle owner. Room to small for beautiful Turtle.😢
I got this one and now she’s to big to go up the steps
Yeah... Go back to the above-tank basking area.
Couldn't agree more.
