Whispering from the forest (wftf/fae au) Backstory: When Tubbo was a kid he liked to sneak out into the forest because he was told not to, so ofcourse he wanted to do the opposite to spite his elders. He met a blonde kid that said to call him Tommy, and before Tubbo could give his name to the other Tommy insisted on calling him 'bee boy,' and to not bother giving him his real name as he wouldn't use it regardless ( when they first crossed paths Tommy asked what Tubbo was doing out in a forest and Tubbo said he was tryna find a bee hive, Tubbo asked the same question and Tommy said he just liked all the greenery and plants) Tubbo had to move away from his village for a few years after his mother, Puffy, found out he was sneaking out into a forest. She made sure to drill into him the dangers of fae, how to spot one, and how to interact with one safely (the rules) but eventually Tubbo moved back into the area of his childhood village, though just one that was located on the opposite side as something had happened to the old one. (Some rumor it was destroyed by a fae in a fit of frustration, looking for something.) Context: Tubbo went out into the forest to collect herbs, and ended up meeting Tommy again. Tommy, in the past, disguised himself as an 8yr old and hid his obvious not human features. He doesn't do that in present, but he's still considered young in fae years. Tubbo wasn't aware that Tommy was a fae, and didn't believe in them as a kid so he's kinda shocked to find out his forest buddy is actually a fae folk. He realizes though that Tommy never tried to trick him, refused to know his name etc. So there's a lil trust there but Tubbo's still skeptical. For instance, Tommy could have just been building up trust to then get Tubbo's name, but Tubbo moved away before then. Anyways here's a clingyduo centric au because I never give you guys any of them together besides angst,, Also Tommy is a summer fae for like.. I think obvious reasons?
I read a series called 'The Iron Fey' By Julie Kagawa so idk how accurate my fae lore is so lemme check They can't lie and are bound to contracts and promises The don't really have sympathy and winter fey are even worse to deal with than summer The fey live from the humans believing in them and have magic powers that get powered by human emotions Is that accurate? I hope it is cause faery FBI sounds interesting, especially the blood god and the angel of death :)
It entirely depends on the author and how they write fae, I'm pretty sure traditional fae get magic from the earth and are powered by nature. For my au, I'm making it so the younger the fae the more emotions they can feel, but as they get older they lose things like empathy etc.

A fae is like a fairy but also not. Basically they enter the human world through mushroom rings. Don't step on them. The rules are to never give them your name, you gotta be polite, don't say sorry and don't say thankyou. They can do alotta shit like curse you or charm you if you break those rules, if you *give* them your name you basically become their slave. You can use your way around words though by saying things like "you may call me_" "my apologies" and "I appreciate"
They are also 4 types of fae, summer, spring, autumn and winter, and the 4 kinds of courts they fall into. It's also a thing called the fae realm I think. Basically don't eat their food or drink water from that realm or gifted by a fae, don't except gifts from fae but don't straight up deny them it's considered rude. If you owe them you're fcked. Don't invite them into your house either, they also dress like royalty and look "perfect" the only inhumane traits being their too wide smiles, and certain features which are usually horns, insect wings, and vibrant slit eyes
