@CharltonSeri Better 'Stats' 😂 than teams in the modern era! The modern era of Rugby League has millions of extras to make the 'stats' much easier to attain. Strip away ALL the modern cons and comforts and put a 60's to 80's team next to these modern teams and the older eras would leave these modern teams in the dust
@@Mal-r5q not even close. 🤣 Its like saying Carl Lewis could be able to beat Bolt's record. Professional football v Sunday English League. The game is faster, technical and it's down to a science. Game analysis of every game, individual player, power play, combination and a while lot more that make players far more better.
@CharltonSeri The modern game is no longer Rugby League . They change rules like they change their underwear. It's like a good game of park touch football. The modern players ( most of them) wouldn't last 20 mins in a game back in the 60's to 80's era. They were tough players, and yet they didn't earn the unwarranted crazy dollars of today's players. If you were to hypothetically add ALL the modern cons of today's game and give it to teams back, then them teams would utterly annihilate modern teams. Now reverse that and take away all the modern cons of today's game and put Penrith, Strom, Roosters against those teams, and again, they would get annihilated
People hate hearing this, But Gus got this started, and he will do the same at the Dogs, Watch them next year, i was surprised with doggies this year but Gus knows what hes doing. All other clubs need to take a good hard look at their Jnr's especially Parra, they used to have the best lower grade system in the league they were just never able to keep them at the club.
Gus in no way started this. He likes to take the credit everywhere he goes, but Ivan Cleary is the architect of Penrith's success, not Gus. Gus sacked Cleary if you recall. The beginning of the Panthers run was when Gus left and Cleary returned. Wherever Gus goes, the incumbent coach gets the bullet. As for Gus developing juniors, if the Bulldogs have success it will be on the back of players that they have bought, not developed. Burton, Kikau,, Crichton, Addo-Carr, Mahoney, etc.
I think alot of clubs are well behind panthers in there pathways system.for juniors most ceo of clubs are worried about how much they are earning instead of grass roots.i see alot of clubs will struggle to compete in the nrl.if they don't fix it my tip panthers 5 peat
Mark Geyer was part of the original Panthers GF team . that 1991 team started it all . its hard to believe when MG started playing for them they were the Chocolate soldiers and would often get cricket scores against them. MG, Brandy and of course Royce Simmons took them to the promised land
Penrith don’t deserve a 3 peat, let alone a 4 peat 😂😂 They cheated in the 2021 finals by having their trainer run on the field about 6 minutes before full time when the opposition was on their try line. Then we have the misallowed try to the Storm. The Panthers always get more than 50% of the calls from the referees and bunker. Their style of play is at the best predictable and boring. The Panthers wouldn't win 1 premiership if they were playing in the great eras of Rugby League like the 60's to 80's. They wouldn't have: Synthetic Ball, kicking tee, lighter jerseys, longer half-time break, 7 tackle sets, 40/20, golden point, non leather boots, 10 minutes sin bin ( 13 vs 12), captains challenge, bunker, repeat sets, real scrums, 4 point tries, 2 point field goals, etc...
Salty,if they're that bad how'd still score more than storm with no ref help, there are a few teams where ref tries to help, not this team, roosters pop to mind especially GF against Canberra. You're just a whiny sook
St George never faced as many cashed and established outfits with access to international talent especially kiwi and Polynesian. Salary caps or even enough pay that it's not a hobby it's a job. Trainers and sports scientists and nutrition. Panthers are the greatest ever
PANTHER S SIMPLY THE BEST !.
MG actually showed up for work. Nobody could blame him if he didn't tbh.
"THEY'RE GETTIN ROUND TOWN LOOKING LIKE LIBERACE!"🤣🤣
The greatest team of the modern era ❤🎉😊
😂😂😂 Your not serious 😂😂
@@Mal-r5q find me a team with better stats in the modern era

5 straight looks too big a task with the players lost. Agreed Bulldogs will be up there. Storm too with their team still intact.
true that, keen for dogs and tigers next year
@@dantan6766 if all goes as the last years Storm wont even be in the mix. look at Broncos Souths Parra the year after they lost to Penrith
As a parramatta fan I completely agree, and I have been saying the same about Gus for years, he is a genius.

I met MG when I was 12. He was a big and scary man back in 1990. Now he's like a teddy bear.

He was a part of the original GF team but it was 1990, not 1991.
i seen spook get ko'd at the pio one night by a bloke who was about 5 foot 9! Spook has gotta be taller than Guyer! lol good times!
