Redemption Song is a must from Bob Marley... Buffalo Soldier is another..
Redemption song .My favourite song from him .
It's absolutely perfect!
🤍
I don't play much anymore, but I still play this one (badly, but who cares, I love it).
Bob Marley is an absolute musical genius.
This and "No Woman, No Cry" are his best recordings.
Also, "Stir It Up", "Buffalo Soldier", "One Love", "Three Little Birds", "Get Up, Stand Up" are fantastic.
Redemption song...my all time favourite
Yeah, anything off "Legend" is a hit, but he had so many other deep cuts. Rastaman Vibrations, Coming in From The Cold, Africa Unite, Natty Dread, Concrete Jungle from the earlier days... so many great songs.
@@candyalmetrabaxter7871 2nd vote for Redemption Song!
@candyalmetrabaxter7871 There was an acoustic version, and a more rare electric version of Redemption Song.
And Exodus!
"Three little birds" is the most beautiful song ever made.
"Three little birds" and "No Woman, No Cry" are my favorites!
My favorite Bob Marley song is "No woman, no cry." Hopefully, you'll consider it for your next reaction to him. 😁
Amazing song 💯💯💯
Hopefully the live video
The version from Legend is the best.
But the live version !!!
That should be the first introductory song to Bob Marley. It is one if the best recordings in history.
"REDEMPTION SONG" just fire😎😎😎
❤❤❤
Spin the Bob Marley catalog like a roulette wheel and every one is a winner.
Do any of these people have opinions on the songs playing?😅
Bob Marley was the voice of many people. One of the greatest activists that ever lived. You should definitely listen to Redemption Song. I cry when I listen to that beautiful, beautiful song.
"Get Up, Stand Up" "Exodus" are 2 great ones.
Jay & Amber, you'll love his "Buffalo Soldier", "Jammin' " and "Get Up Stand Up"!!!! THANKS for playing this one!!!
Bob's wife Rita was in a group called the I Threes who often provided backing vocals, like on this album.
edit - check out his contemporaries, the band Third World!!
Songs "Now That We Found Love", "One Cold Vibe (Couldn't Stop Dis Ya Boogie)" and "96º in the Shade"!!!!
His MOST UPLIFTING song he ever wrote/recorded & A great way to start your day,,
Bob Marley "Three Little Birds" ❤️ 🇯🇲 ❤️
"Get Up, Stand Up" is excellent.
Stand up for your rights!
Desmond Dekker & The Aces - "Israelites" This is the birth of reggae from the late 60s. So worth it!!
I remember listening to that on 45 when I was a little kid.
wake up every morning baked beans for breakfast
so that every mouth can be fed
oh, oh me ears are alight
100% Agreed & I suggested the very same..Been listening to it since it's release,, Another favorite classic by him is Desmond Dekker & The Aces
"Fu Manchu"
@@happymethehappyone8300 My favorite has changed over time. Most recent was "Sabotage".
@@chrismeloy1149 I bought it.
Watch “No Woman, No Cry” live from the Rainbow. It will take your appreciation up a couple notches. You’ve stereotyped Bob but “Redemption Song”, “Exodus”, “Buffalo Soldier”, “Get Up, Stand Up” are well known songs that will expand your horizons. A little deeper “Slave Driver”, “400 Years” definitely not just happy music.
Truly one of the greatest musicians of our time. You should do "Redemption song" next.
Three Little Birds 🐦 ❤😊
Redemption Song is a must with Bob Marley.
“No Woman, No Cry”, “Three Little Birds”, “Coming In From The Cold”, And from the really early stuff “Simmer Down”.
I used to think reggae was all about Bob Marley...He is great, but there are so many other great artists that came before and after him. Explore and enjoy.
Isn't it!?❤️
Absolutely!
Waiting In Vain is the one. 😄
Bob Marley's Buffalo Soldiers was the song that soothed my infant on those all nighters, when she was teething.
It's just a good day when you get to listen to Bob Marley
The legendary bob marley all his songs was great fr
Bob Marley = Positivity. Why everyone loves his music and is the soundtrack for all my summertime's 😉😁
1:21 Jay, that instrument is a keyboard called a Clavinet, made famous by Stevie Wonder on "Superstition".
Bob Marley is always good, but there is so MuCH more to the reggae and earlier ska genre to discover. I recommend "Pressure Drop", "54-46 (Was My Number)" by Toots & the Maytals, "You Can Get It If You Really Want" by Jimmy Cliff, and "007 (Shanty Town)" and "Israelites" by Desmond Dekker & the Aces.
Toots does a great cover of "Country Roads".
Love "Shanty town" - such a happy bouncy reagge - and "Isrealite"
yes 54-46
Love that Clavinet sound . Even before Superstition 1972 , 'The Band' used it on 'Up On Cripple Creek' 1969 . There are probably others but Stevie knocked it out of the park !
I love Bob so much I used to sing Three Little Birds and One Love to my kids as lullabies when they were babies.
You can never go wrong with Bob "the Legend" Marley.
More Bob, please!
They really should be like on their 7th or 8th Bob Marley reaction by now.
"Exodus" is a reggae banger!
Agreed!. Of all Bob Marley songs, it has to be Exodus for the next sample! Mind-blowing song which turned him from an up and coming superstar into a fully fledged international one.
Bob Marley one of those in the category of making songs that are so classic that you you almost can’t imagine the world without them once you’ve heard them
Matisyahu "King Without A Crown" & "One Day"..MUST HEAR Artist & songs!! 🎶
Ya'll should definitely listen to "No Woman, No Cry" and also "Jammin"
My late friend Leah and I listened to Marley often✨✌️🥰
My favorite song of his is “satisfy my soul”
I think it’s highly underrated!!!
Are you Kidding Me..
I can't believe you've never heard this
The Most Played Reggae Artist's Most Played Song!¡! Not so much in OK Tho😮
Most Americans don’t know Bob Marley
@123malichi I know, MADNESS more people alive on the planet know who Bob is than Motzart. Just not around here. Everyone who went to College even one semester knows him.
@123malichi Even at BYU, 🎭 they know Bob
@@Joseph-wf4qg not my experience
Roots reggae, like Bob Marley, had a resurgence in England, so that influence produced groups like Steel Pulse who were the first non-Jamaican act to win a Grammy awards. Check them out.
❤😊❤
A MUST HEAR reggae/ska classic,,
Desmond Dekker & The Aces "Israelites"...Nuff Said. 🔥❤️🔥
Great song forever corrupted by the Maxell tape advert ua-cam.com/video/clD6J9OmkJI/v-deo.html
One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain
So hit me with music, hit me with music now
Love all his music, just puts you in such a great mood.
🤩
Excellent choice! Bob Marley always brings a good mood, even with the sad songs/history, because you can feel the hope in it.
"Redemption song" and "War " are two of my favorite songs of Bob Marley.
Some reggae suggestions: Third World- “Now that we’ve found Love” (sort of disco & reggae), “Sense of Purpose”; also a group from England called Aswad- “Behold” , “ Don’t Turn Around “. Finally, “I Just wanna be close to you” by Maxi Priest ( from England)
I've seen Third World & Steel Pulse several times,, Great shows & music.
Marley: "No Woman No Cry"
Bob is a legend, there's a biopic film about him out as well. Spreading love, peace, and harmony is what he's all about.,
For me - this is Bob's best hit single - I've never heard anything I liked better of his. "Jammin" is pretty good, but I love this one best.
Live Bob Marley is one of the greatest joys on this Earth.
Let’s not forget it’s Bob Marley…and the Wailers, the rest of the band that helped him create this great body of music! My vote is for “ No Woman, No Cry” and “ Redemption Song.” BTW, Manfred Mann’s Earth Band do a nice version of “Redemption Song.” Thanks, guys!
Island vibes: more reggae but don’t forget calypso with some Harry Belafonte with Jamaica Farewell, or The Banna Boat Song
R.I.P To A Great Singer Songwriter Bob Marley, Still Miss You Always 😢
For some reason this song reminds me the beach,a cold beer on my hand and everything else don't matter, Bob Marley was a genius!!!!!
Give us a tour of the wall behind you.
"Rat Race", "Them Belly Full (But We Hungry), "Concrete Jungle", "Waiting In Vain" are all must listens. You can't go wrong with anything he did. I would also like to recommend Fela Kuti. Great reaction!
Judging from the other comments, I can tell you're a true Marley fan like myself. We didn't just listen to the "Legend" album. I love your picks.
i wish so much had got to meet him and went one of his concert bob marley to me the true king of reggage music you are very missed .
This my favourite Bob Marley song .May He RIP🙏💕
Used to have Bob on all day at work!!!🙏RIP🙏
My favourite Bob Marley song.🙌
Marley's album "Legend" will eventually pass Dark Side of the Moon for most weeks on the album chart.
Always love the energy keep up the good vibes
His father would pass away when he was only 2 years old,, Damian Marley "Stand A Chance"...Bob would be so proud. 🙏❤️
As Damian gets older,, the more he looks/sounds just like his father..He would also be given his nickname after his father's,, Bob's being "Tuff Gong" & Damian's being "Junior Gong".
I didn’t realise his father was white
@@123malichi Yes, which also makes Damian's grandfather white.
@@happymethehappyone8300 aren’t you clever
@@123malichi Was by no means trying to be a jerk or something..I was also going to add the fact that Damian was given his nickname after his father,, Bob's being "Tuff Gong" & Damian's being "Junior Gong",, Also,, The older Damian has gotten,, The more he looks & sounds like his father,, In fact,, So much so that most people say that out of all Bob's children,, Damian is the closest to his father.
"Happy"
Absolutely love Bob marley every song great vibes from no women no cry to redemption song coming in from the cold and from his rastaman vibration album who the cap fit.
"Stir it Up" is my favorite party jam.
One Love, Three Little Birds, Jammin' and Redemption Songs, if you haven't already heard them, are some good ones.
So great! Bob’s angelic voice and the wailers are absolutely AMAZING!!!
There’s a difference between Reggae inspired, like The Police, and Reggae.
Highly recommend “Stepping Razor” by Peter Tosh a former OG Wailer w/Bob Marley for more VERY GOOD Reggae. The Jimmy Cliff song “Reggae Music” is a musical Biography of Jimmy from his beginning.
Roots! Rock! Reggae!
Ya I know you're right !!
Tosh babylon by bus
Love Jimmy's "The Harder They Come" !
Great movie@@surlechapeau
May I suggest Jimmy Cliff’s 2012 Grammy Winning album “Rebirth”.
He redoes The Clashes “Guns of Brixton”, which of course mentions him as “Ivan” in “The Harder They Come”. His backing band is “The Engine Room” and it’s Produced by “Tim Armstrong” of “Rancid”. A Superb Recording.
The Police aren't reggae even if they borrowed some aspects of the music, which was hard to not be influenced by for anyone in the UK in the 70s when The Police were coming of age.
One of my most played Bob Marley tunes, such awesome lyrics, & that rhythm is a groove. "Don't let them fool you or even try to school you."
This is a shame that you don't have a huge playlist for BOB MARLEY your channel yet we need to fix this right away😂❤ The entire family are artists😊😊
The group "Aswad" and their album "Distant Thunder" with the hit "Don't Turn Around" another great late 80's song.
Bob Marley forever !!!♥️
EVERYBODY ❤❤❤MARLEY!!✌
My favourite Bob Marley song all time classic 👌
"Satisfy My Soul" is my all-time favorite
One of my favorite Bob Marley songs…
A Prophet 🤔
He changed the World !!!!
Humanity was better after him ❤️
Take Care and Stay Safe 🙏✌️❤️🕊️
Another MUST HEAR early reggae classic,, Desmond Dekker & The Aces "Fu Manchu"
Hi there. " No woman no cry " live, it's Bob Marley top of the mountain song. Another super soul who died too young, before reaching the top of his creativity. (Like Hendrix and others). Mick jagger was very responsible on Bob Marley's early success, and also on Jimmy Cliff, and others
This is "REAL MUSIC". SIMPLE A MASTERPIECE. REGARDS FROM EL SALVADOR CENTRAL AMÉRICA ❤
Take me back to Jamaica 🇯🇲 😭 I travelled from Scotland to England, then England to Jamaica and cried when I walked on Jamaican soil🫶🏻♥️After YEARS of waiting to visit Jamaica I finally realised that dream. Bob Marley was a HUGE influence on my youth, I was honoured to visit his childhood home🫶🏻♥️🇯🇲One Love ♥️
I would advise to try 'Exodus' and 'Get Up Stand up (For Your Rights)'. Marley's music was a movement.
I proudly named my company after Bob Marley's ❤small axe❤ what a wonderful song
First time I heard this was on a campsite in Northern Italy. There was a crowd of teenagers sat around the jukebox singing along. Italian, Dutch, English, Irish kids all singing. Joyous 😍
You can't go wrong with Bob Marley's music. So many great reggae artists with different styles. The late Cynthia Schloss " Am I That Easy To Forget ", Ed Robinson " Knockin On Heaven's Door ",, Glen Ricks " I Found A Love", and the late Lucky Dube " Feel Irie ". Just great Caribbean vibes.
The Green "Wake Up"..Nuff Said.
Buffalo soldier was my introduction to Bob Marley, always will be the first song I think of
Bob Marley, the man, the legend! Love this song. You can't go wrong with any of his iconic classics, but "No Woman, No Cry" is probably my all-time favorite.
Bob Marley is the king. Suggest Buffalo Soldier..No Woman No Cry...Funky Reggae Party, and Easy Skanking.
Liking Bob Marley's flavor of reggae. Haven't listened to much of his music, but this song has whetted my appetite...
Respect to the Highest one of all time.
He's amazing. Need to check out his movie "one love".
Continue to R.I.P to the Great Bob Marley ❤ Thanks a lot Jay and Amber 😊
This is by far my favorite song of all time. I couldn't click fast enough!
AHH, the song that made me a Bob Marley fan!
Great summer party song. Love it.
Bob Marley was just the complete package. Amazing voice great music good looking (no homo 😂) awesome hair. Even his name Bob Marley just sounds cool. 1 of the coolest smoothest guys ever
Love Bob!💛💚❤🖤
My favorite Bob song ❤
LEGEND
Love Bob! Jay & Amber you definitely need to do Bob' children, Ziggy Marley & the Melody Makers. Try "Look Who's Dancing" the Official video. You'll love it
there's NO WAY this is the first time you guys heard this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Toots & The Maytals "Pressure Drop" & "Sweet And Dandy"
Redemption Song. Probably the best song ever
Absolutely awesome song, Ive been addicted to this forever!! Just stunning.
This is my favorite Marley song.
