I have problems with the Darice needles, too. I did straighten out the hook, which greatly helped. I also use my needle-nose pliers to hold the needle to keep it from turning in my fingers.
My very first thought when you turned on the battery operated spinner was, 'Nope - that sound would be too irritating.' Jewelry making is a zen experience for me too.
I use the wooden one for bead-knitting. 10 tubes of size 11 seed beads must be fed onto crochet cotton before knitting begins. I use thin thread on the curved needle, the thread fastens to the crochet thread. Size 11 fit on my needles just fine, but the occasional bead has too small of a hole so I remove those irregular beads as they turn up.
What a clever way of getting the beads onto yarn. I love it! There have been a few times when I've not done bead knitting or crocheting due to the amount of beads that had to be strung. Thanks for the great tip!
thank you so much, this was a great video. the other day I attempted to make some seed bead loop earrings and it took me 3 hours and I wasn't able to finish. I used the really small beads and the wire was two big to fit back throught the crimp bead. I wasn't sure if I was using the right material, I am self taught and only been making jewelry for about 8 or 9 months.
I don't think the electric one is being made anymore. And even if it were, I found the sound of the motor irritating and prefer the quieter wooden one. Spinning it by hand is not a big deal and still very satisfying to use. 🙂
My point, maam was, you didn't really show the beads jumping onto the needle; at least not long enough to really see it. You mention the sound really bugs you, and that might have been the reason. Pleased to say, I saw enugh other vids to really see the GAME changer this thing really is!! Thank you for showing it. And as to my grumpy reply, I apologise; I hadn't seen other videos of the bead bowl.

Great idea to hold the needle with pliers! Thanks for the tip. 😀

Thanks for this excellent & honestly explained.
Hope you found it helpful, Edith! I always do my best to be honest in my reviews. 🙂
Hello! I was wondering if you still have this device and would be willing to sell it?
Hi there, Thanks for asking, but I use this tool regularly. You can get your own at:amzn.to/31LYAjg
I love your multi-strand necklaces but would like to know where you get your beautiful focal pieces and charms from? thank you in advance
You make it look so easy omg
LOL! There was definitely a learning curve. :-)
Where can this be purchased ? Can someone send a link it is unavailable on Amazon.
Sorry, but it appears to not be available anywhere I can see.
Yes, I do need a battery operated bead spinner. I got the manual one but I don't like it. Tried Google but its not working. Can you be of help?
It would appear that the product has been discontinued. I found a few on eBay, but they are very expensive.
Do you recommend the electric one? it is cheaper in Amazon

Where can I find the battery operated bead spinner?
Have you tried searching online? Google is helpful that way.
@@SandyHuntress I have but haven't found one,
Thanks for this helpful tutorial
You are welcome! I'm so glad you found it helpful.
ola, onde posso comprar?
so what is the advantage? i can put a couple beads on the wire in as much time...
If you can bead as quickly as this, then go for it! For most of the rest of us it's much faster than we can string by hand.

what is the name of the neddlo plese
It’s a hook needle, sometimes called a “J” needle. It is make specifically for bead spinners, so it might be called simply a bead spinner needle.
How is the spinner
I’m not sure what you are asking, as I give my review of the spinners in the video.
