I received mine today and the postal service had done it's best to destroy them. I messaged Ben and sent him some photos of the box before opening as it had arrived and within an hour of sending the email he replied with I will post out tomorrow a new set. I am posting this feedback because I appreciate the time and effort that Ben and his good wife do to help us fellow modellers get better and improve are modeling skills. Thank you so much for your quick response. And please keep up with the good work.
I just recieved mine today in a pretty good shape. No postal service incidents! I want to thank you for adding 2 pieces not just one just in case something bad happens with one. There is only one problem with the piece... watching your videos on youtube I see that my piece doesn t have some rivets detail on it. In your youtube video model looks just perfect... I really wished to get that too. That s the only negative thing... maybe the 3d printed hasn t catched those rivets... I love the piece tho... THANK YOU!
You should play around with the idea of painted finished parts priced accordingly for guys like me 63 yrs young with no experience of resin parts, great video 🦘🇦🇺👍❤️
Just bought a set of these to replace my MK1 set as the chain they supplied in 3d form doesn't come off the spru very well and doesn't sit right. These look amazing and come complete with chain in the correct position. Looking forward to adding them to my build.
I’m on a mission to create 1/200 scale Navy figures. I actually “hired” someone to create the first figures that I sketched up. But…. He didn’t do anything. So I need to find someone else OR learn how to make people.
@@TheMidwestModelShop I have built 1/350 Arizona and working on North Carolina right now and I’m having a difficult time tracking down some good figures that are in stock. Also keep up the great work and great videos, you’ve inspired me to go much further in my detailing and created my desire to build larger more detailed models
I'm working on it. The whole process takes A LOT of time. Then I have to work out printing them consistently. It's a long process. But we have plans ; )
Nice work again. Thnx for all this effort. I went down the Midwest Model Shop route for my stern hull plating, and the results are amazing. Thnx for everything
Way awesome. Love the job you've done here. Not that I'll ever build a copy of the Titanic, but I'd be half tempted to just built the anchor traces. A bit more dry-brushing. :)
Hi Ben, not sure about how available Mr. Metal Colour paints are available in the USA. But if so, you could possibly give Mr MetalColor 214 a go? Pretty much as dark as nato black but you can buff it into an almost silver, depending on what you want. Just a thought.
The 3D printing detail was fantastic, such an authentic look. I understand the basic concepts behind using the 3D software to design this part but what reference/s did you use to ensure the anchor chain piece was accurately represented ? A work of art mate.
I'm too old to learn 3D printing and buying high dollar equipment, although I wouldn't turn one down. I thought i read somewhere that these parts are also a lot more brittle and subject to breakage is that true?
I would pay $25 for the stl files. Using some kind of anti piracy system would also be acceptable. That's the first studded cable I have seen on any of the 1/200-250th scale models I have built. Keep up the good work.
@TheMidwestModelShop Yes I fully understand, that is why I could not give a reasonable option myself. Great job anyway . Next time I need a set I will contact you!
That is a good question. I spent a month learning and working on a different project before I realized that I had the skills to "easily" make these chains. Which I did in about 8 hours. I'm still working on the other designs that I want to introduce and use myself.

I got mine from order to mailbox in 4 days! Best quality and detail I have seen out there! You have to get these Anchor Chains! Thanks Ben!!!

I've always said, the best modelers would make the best models. Very nice sir! - Gary

Astounding. No other word will do. Very fair deal on shipping to.
Man! you that 3D software fast Nice job looks great.
The build so far has been absolutely spectacular….any chance you might be learning to print some 350 scale or 200 scale us navy ww2 figures?

Looks very nice
Very nice Ben 👍
Thanks 👍

Yes you have to be careful with them. All resin parts, cast or printed, are this way.
Hi I from the uk I have just brought one for the anchor chains but are you still doing the windows for the titanic
Yes, when Nora gets time. They are a labor-intensive item to produce, and we can't keep them in stock.
When are you getting back to the build?
After the Enterprise is finished.

Problem for him is someone unscrupulous will then share the file outside of his control who's invested efforts they're stealing his income
Selling the .stl file would defeat the purpose of selling the parts.

So how many hours of learning fusion 360 did it take to make those parts?

So I guess shipping to NZ, I'll need too take out a 2nd mortgage to cover freight costs, they look good though mate great job.
I mean..... if you email me your address I can get a price. But yeah. Probably will need that second mortgage.
When I'm ready I will have a great day mate
Nice work. Quick question, how do you apply the Mr Metal primer? With a brush or air brush? If airbrushing, do you dilute it? Thanks!
I use a brush. It goes on kind of thick... .but seems to do its thing and settle down.
@@TheMidwestModelShop thanks!
I would simply remove the base plate, flip the part and nip the pins one by one...at least when it's upside won, you can see better where to nip
I am a Korean subscriber who has been watching Titanic Build for a long time. It would be nice to sell the academy 1:400 only, so it's a shame.
Maybe we can get it resized for 1:400 scale. Send me an email with the dimensions that it would need to be.
Neat
Darn I brought mine from China 3d ,yours look better😅
The Real anchor was built down the road from me, literally a 5 minute drive

Very dissapointed by the fact that can t be shipped in Romania for some reason. Romania is not on the list.
Thumbs down.
