- MIT engineers have created soft, magnetic 3-D-printed structures that can transform their shape almost instantaneously by the wave of a magnet. The structures are flexible, yet strong and could be used to develop remotely controlled biomedical devices. (Learn more: news.mit.edu/2018/magnetic-3-d...

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is an independent, coeducational, privately endowed university in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Our mission is to advance knowledge; to educate students in science, engineering, and technology; and to tackle the most pressing problems facing the world today. We are a community of hands-on problem-solvers in love with fundamental science and eager to make the world a better place.
The MIT UA-cam channel features videos about all types of MIT research, including the robot cheetah, LIGO, gravitational waves, mathematics, and bombardier beetles, as well as videos on origami, time capsules, and other aspects of life and culture on the MIT campus. Our goal is to open the doors of MIT and bring the Institute to the world through video. - Наука та технологія
At First I thought that this thing was moving by itself.
But then I saw the magnet person.
Pheww....
how it is related to 3d printing?
This is exactly like the cape in batman begins
Amazing!! The physical control of the spherical ball.
Amazing!! Good job Mitians😍
How did this not get more likes? It’s cool!
Amazing. I wonder if MIT will one day develop a method of using text that's more legible on their videos; or better yet, narrate a video so one can actually watch the footage simultaneously. I know, I'm a dreamer...
Sencillamente fantástico!
Was not convinced until this came 1:23...
Amazing!
It’s like from big hero 6
MIT was always my dream, But I fear my scores are not high enough... Sad
gota start somewhere
Hey it's walking! (dude under table pulling it with magnet) HEY IT'S NOT WALKING AT ALL.
What kind of material are you using
Hey i am very excited after seeing this, can any one help me to do this plz
What material did you use for this?
how to make this sir
Это просто ЗВЕЗДЕЦ, еще годков с 10 и все... нас поработят андроиды (((
Have you learned of beatle scard wings levitation?
I have an idea on this make an new evolution in technology
A lot of positive potential with this tech, great job guys and gals :D
Positive potential??? Like what? Cations?
LOVE SCIENCE!!!
So cute.
keren bos mantab,,,,,!!
That is really cool! The next step in the wonder that is 3d printing.
New Stop Motion for Cinema?
Right now, in that form, i don't see any utility ...
noraxi No , but everybody would laugh at an engine by itself , but when you put it in a car it becomes alooot more interesting...
@@tobias2974 You're pretty dumb, aren't you?
What about mechatronics
they're using these in eyesi
But how do magnets work?
theres a company that makes custom magnets this way
nothing new
The future is being realised
Some kind of super heart could be made, but who knows if the body would accept it.....
Use? Fortune telling Fish for AI hands. If the sides curl up, the robot needs recharge. If it flips over,...Judgement Day ! 😎
Pale background+white letters=annoying.
Y eso que pedo..que resuelve?
It's not scary
It's terrifying
This is a wonderful invention, it's basically a nanomachine with NO battery NO actuators, that can be ACTUATED remotely just with magnets. Suspend it in a magnetic field and you can create a crane game with a floating crane arm.
is that how they did it forcing me down 5 to 1 in fawn....thanks NHS hope you get jailed along with the anaesthetist shrinking my CNS with epidural with intent (not your purpose), and the plate and screes unnecessary and yes no to operation which has caused non dial intrusion.....ITS THEM
