- In this special Friar's Desk episode hosted by fr. Dexter A. Austria, O.P., he meets one of the hosts of the iconic i-Witness documentary show, which recently celebrated its 25th year. In the conversation, David talks about the space that i-Witness provides for the various sectors of society and how each story and encounter give her a takeaway lesson about life and being one with others.

Mam kara, the holy spirit is working through your heart and your pen. God must have wanted you to be the storyteller and reveal the truth of the ills of our society through first-hand experiences and your gift of storytelling. Your empathy may seem like a burden, given how much feeling the pain of others may have taken a toll on your mental and emotional health, but the way I see it, it's a cross that God must have given you to carry, painful and burdensome as it is at times, but it has led you to write documentaries with words full of empathy and compassion. You have opened soo many eyes esp the young who grew up with your show. Iba talaga yung scripts mo po, full of humility, respect, and deference for the people you write about. Yung script mo po, it is an art in itself, it can take a life of its own, kahit nagluluto lang ako tas nakikinig lang ako sa tv, tagos sa puso bawat salita. Di ako usually nanonood ng documentaries kase I grew up watching western documentaries pero exception talaga from I-witness. I'm just soo glad the world recognized your talent through the many awards you received po over the years. Be blessed mam, kasi from this interview we can see na your work is also your personal and spiritual journey towards getting to know God, his purpose for your life, through the joy of discovery and learning new things, while having the humble ability to help them along the way. Parang ung first episode na sinabi ni mam kara ay hindi mangyan, un po ata ung mga Kabihug sa Camarines Norte, sila ung kumukuha lang ng sapat, at kumakain ng sabay sabay, at sila den po ung tinatawag na Primitibo, I think Kabihug po un hindi mangyan kase po ung sa mangyan ay Ambulansyang De paa at Gamo Gamo sa Dilim ayan po ung Title non.
