Marti didn't want to trust Dan with her heart because she didn't want to be hurt again. He let her down before and she probably walked away from that experience knowing she shouldn't trust her feelings for him. So when he asked her to forget, I don't think she could.
I can't believe she let him go, AGAIN...Marti is TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY in love with Dan, but she wont admit that to herself or him. Just like the Twilight Sagas. Mainly Eclipse when Bella said she wasn't in love with Jacob but at the end she finally admits it.
I don't understand why people are so in denial about love? Yeah...it can be scary but sometimes you just got to let go and let yourself be swayed by emotions.

She didn't want to because she knew savannah loved him and it would seem like a betrayal.
If it was me, I would rather accept Marti go back to Dan than to allow him be with me knowing very well that my best friend is still in love with him. I know it will hurt badly, but with time. I can handle it. If I allow my heart to influence my decision, it will certainly cause a rift in our relationship because I will be constantly in a jealous mode whenever I see them together. Therefore, I have to think with my head, not my heart to do what is best for me and my friend.

Ive got a question, why is it whenever a great guy wants to be in a good relationship with a gal he clearly loves adores and respects- the lady turns him down? once just once Id like to see her say yes! and WHHY did this show get cancelled! 6 years later and still not over it!
