Welcome to my home state. Bird numbers low pressure extreme.
Thanks for setting a good example of a true turkey hunter… when I was 16 years old I just got my license and took one of my friends turkey hunting before school (he was 15), we were the first ones to the gate, as we were getting out of the truck two guys pulled in behind us and started through the woods to cut us off and get in front of us on the grass road.. I awkwardly followed behind them 20 yards until we got to a little clearing and they stopped. Long story short they were complete a**holes and all I was doing was asking which way they we’re gonna go. Imagine acting that was toward two kids 16 and 15 years old out in the woods tryna kill a turkey. I’ll never forget that.
The same problem has made a huge difference in my past 3 season and has helped in my dry spell. It's EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING especially when you have so much time in areas and birds and then people start following you or what you dealt with. Not always sure how to handle but normally just go on. And live by the golden rule
Dude, it’s such a relief to know that I’m not the only one who sits and cries for hours after missing a turkey. If there’s anyone else out there, know that you’re not alone. Seriously though, when you work your a$$ off and then finally make the right move to one-up these paranoid schizophrenic turkeys, it suuuucks when you miss.
Come to NY I'll put you on a bird
And if someone cuts us off their in trouble because they aren't supposed to be there
Your really brave crawling around with other hunters around
Welcome to arkansas… poor population of birds and high high population of hunters all fighting over the very few birds..
What part of the state were y’all in?
Should have left him a note. Good luck finding him now he's in my vest
When it comes to turkey hunting, I WOULD NEVER knowingly walk in on another hunter to try and compete. Not only is it an a-hole thing to do, but moreover, for me, it wouldn't make for an enjoyable day. I would rather go look for another bird. It is a respect thing, and typically, I don't find a lot of people that are disrespectful in the turkey woods. However, there is always the jackass, and I suspect he is the same type of guy that rides the national forest roads throwing his beer cans out the window, shooting turkey and deer out of season, and complaining about the DNR all the time!
This is something I deal with ALOT on what little public land near me. Was even worse the last 2 years with covid I assume. Wish more people would just move on! It's forced me to travel more & get inspired by you guys and Dave! Love all the vids man!! Keep it up!👊👊👊
Don't let it get you down man. Keep on keeping on. Good luck
Not every hunter is ethical, I've met my share of unethical jerks all we can do is stay ethical and make the best choice as you did.
I hunt Allegheny National Forest PA and surrounding gamelands. Same problems. Week end warriors. Prefer mid week. Also 45min to 1hr walk in puts me away from all of this. Not to many will do this. Like having your own private land.
Did u see the corn on the ground where u picked up feathers I know that has to be illegal he needs to be caught and fined and I know u had to see that corn on ground!!!!
Had to go back and slow that down. Thinking those are just pebbles. I would have noticed corn. But there are certainly plenty out there that feel the need to cheat which is an unfortunate thing.
Yeah u can see it plan as day that dude was definitely baiting it’s a shame and u said u heard no gobbling and he kills one little odd he was waiting on it!!!!
I'm from Arkansas and hunt both private and public....some of the worst public land hunters as far as respect that i've ever seen in any state I hunt. It does happen other places...but not as bad as Arkansas...and again i'm from Arkansas.
I'm from Arkansas too and I think it depends on what area of the state you are hunting. Certain parts of the state have more lowlife assholes than other parts I have found.
Everything I hear about then Arkansas turkey hunters isn't good. I hear most of are that way. Or worse the u experienced I know they're everywhere but I hear Arkansas got bunch of them boys
It depends on what area of Arkansas you are hunting. Certain parts of the state have more lowlife assholes than other parts. I'm a lifelong Arkansan and love the state... we have great habitat that if managed better would be flush with turkey. There are parts of Arkansas that have good to great turkey numbers and other areas where there should be turkey (or traditionally were good numbers) and today are having trouble.
@@dscottperry I guees the mountains are where all the assholes are?
Arkansas had a SEVERELY low population of birds. Good challenge though
