At 10:55, the limitation period is NOT 12 months. The period of 12 months was omitted in 1871 through an amendment.
Furthermore, in the case of Damini v. Managing Director, Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (2017), it was held that as per Section 82 of the Limitation Act, 1963, the time period for filing a suit for compensation under the Fatal Accidents Act, 1855 is 2 years (i.e., 24 months).

I want to ask what are the defences to the person against whom suit is filed???
Sir if wife was the earner and die because of fatal accident then all member of family like husband , parent children's are proportionally granted compensation
यदि व्यक्ति का ना हो पत्नी ना ही माता पिता परंतु उसका भाई ही उसके देखभाल करने वाला हो तो क्या इस स्थिति में भाई वाद दाखिल करके मुआवजा का हकदार हो सकता है
और यदि पत्नी मर जाए तो उसका मुआवजा पति बच्चों और सास और ससुर को मिलेगा की महिला के माता पिता
