Good vid, more skills based vids please. both MX and Single track/Enduro. Keep up the good work. love your TV show too. I'm 52 years old started riding 3 years ago and have felt 30 years younger. 5 thumbs up.
attempting to survive? You make it sound like it's a difficult thing. Kawasaki and other MX schools allow women with no MX experience hit jumps on their first day and they don't even need to know how to turn on a track all that well.
Nice to remember learning things as a kid, something adults need to do be like a sponge and listen with a clear head follow instructions to the letter, big thing that really helped me was learning to stay in command of the front end because the back mite go a little crooked but its only going to eventually follow the front wheel, and when u accelerate u body weight goes back so u need to be to the front because you are gonna get moved back and if u are back and u go back from there the front will be unloaded with no weight on it u keep the front straight and the back will follow its connected to the frame,so make sure ur front wheel is pointing where u are jumping to and the rest will follow,if your weight is back on the bike and the back lands crooked it would be pretty and ur most likely going to crash.I have seen some pretty weird crashes that's why, keep the front straight when u land and your weight on it till it straightens both ends u go smoothly on your way, repeat an rinse, repeat and rinse...
Nicely done good photography angles perfect jump for some one new rider, yeah landing oh can't we learn that later,ha ha,I especially like your simple attack of explaining, yeah those little guy and new riders, got watch out for kickas, take off and landing,I really like that point you made.where was ya when I hit my first kicker,it really wasn't the kicker it was my elbows down in road racing mode that made it exciting.but bumps on way up and landing real good job on that,I think it cool that new guys walk around, and see bumps, just so they don't freak when they see it in the air to late..going to a track, get out early in practice,if you can before faces of jumps get warn down with kickas, also staying to the inside when your new and going slow over jumps, right turn after inside is to the right going up jump ,either way try to hold straight line over jump even if your just rolling thru it no matter what side your on.Brand riders might want keep ears open to,and eyes to who if any real fast riders are coming up behind, before you get near the jump. Also putting arm or hand in the air, tells riders behind you that your slowing up some as going to the jump...another thing a lot of tracks have little areas for beginners,if they don't ask if they'd make some small jumps that you can practice on,just landing out on flat ground is best starting place.till you get to learn the attitude of your bike, that's how it flys ,level or front up or front down, level is what you want for beginning point...later you'll learn how to move with bike when your speed go up and traction increases or decreases as you throttle up jumps on different types of dirt.mellow mellow.. Great body position on the little guy,big guy needs work,he terrible what the heck ...
I'm 27 years old... And I will start this year, finally... After 23 long years lol... You are never too old, not going to die without trying, nope hell no lol
Real big key for first timer is to relax breath normal don't hold your breath, funny but nerves will do that, moving a little forward on the landing as you gas away helps you stay central, throttle on you will move back naturally,so that little move forward readys you for the force of acceleration when land on ground you be back in the center of bike, not back more from center. This was the biggest thing that learned myself, that I was messing up when I was first jumping,Cam did nice job of stay in position, but that last shot he gassed away he did that nice smooth, little coward move and then ,little flow back as gas came on,true master,ringer...he was good example, kept er nice flat...kids study his body movements cause they don't much better...stylin...
I wish we had this stuff to learn from when I was learning.I would get into the why part of it but thanks, most average person does not understand these are lightweight pro quality bikes u need to learn how they move jump fly turn and brake accelerate, they ain't no box of chocolates,if u don't....the less u know the more its gonna kick ur butt...so learn the right stuff.
I have a hard time with my front end dipping down hard. Try to keep my weight centered, head above the handle bars, and squeeze with my legs but it still wants to dip on me. I've almost been thrown over the handle bars a few times already. Next time I ride I'm going to pay more attention to the throttle and make sure Im not letting off too early.
jsk8drummer don't let off to early and if your front end starts to dip a lot give it some power and that then gets the back wheel spinning which brings the front end up 👍🏻
kishan bekkers just stay in low gear u don't wanna be shifting in corners as soon as corner is about to finish throttle her how u want it till she goes high enough to change gear

yup pretty much the same here. bought a yfz450r and being older realized I was letting off the throttle as the front left the ground. didn't wreck but it wasn't a comfortable landing. decided to give it the screw it plan and came in with more speed and that deff helped. but for an hour that's all I did was build confidence each time I jumped. but fatigue also plays a role too.
What if you cant grip the side of the bike with your legs...im not able to cuz my seat line comes up to a lil bit below my knees....i think my ttr90 is wayy to small 4 me
okay well i dont really have a question more for help then anything i used to ride track very week and the past 3 months i didnt ride at all im starting to get back out on the track but ive no faith no confidence in myself to make a jump i just build up the speed and the second i get to the base of the jump i brake dose anyone out there no how i can re-gane confidence
Haha thanks I did that I just got fed up and yelled fuck it haha I've a UA-cam channel now motocross Ireland got a video of my bike and buggy just need a laptop and I'll be uploading more like me on the track I've only one subscribe but I don't mind hahaha

My friends u to give me crap for not riding a two stroke right an they were on the right track but i was on a 250cc 1986 hrc works bike....an when i did it spit me off the back....a works 250cc 2 stroke is not a good beginner bike i had know idea how fast it would go...an i knew nothing about the ama production rule in effect....for racing i wish someone would havetold me about a good mx school...it would of hurt less
What a lucky kid! Wish I was riding at his age!

These tips are great even for adult Drivers attempting to survive an offroad track, hehe.

Yeah these guys do a real straight up good job, lots of clear talking and good photo angles too.
Great tips. Most helpful video I have seen yet. Just try to get it onto the main page when people search "how to jump on a dirt bike". Thanks

It all comes down to the jump and how you are feeling at that moment plus what type of bike you have. A lot of factors that will determine every jump.
This vid helped me a lot because I'm going to start motorcross riding
This is very useful considering I just started riding a CRF 150 and I have never properly jumped before!
How tall are you?
guys, don't listen to him! just pin the bike and have health insurance and your fine :)
AlejandroCod1976 and use somebody else's bike...
lol...thats funny !
When I was 13 I was testing out a freinds kawaski 450 and pulled the throttle in first and crashed let’s just say I got a Yamaha insted
I’m 14 now
Stay in school, smoke crack and do drugssssss

When I jump when I land my bike cuts off enyone know why
Thanks for the tip.
where have I seen your name?
I ride a KX65 and the jumps I go on has lot of bumps and I still land it good
I’m a kid, and I’ve been riding a couple years just champs is coming up
Can you make a video on how you shift in corners with or without clutch? it would help me !
kishan bekkers just stay in low gear u don't wanna be shifting in corners as soon as corner is about to finish throttle her how u want it till she goes high enough to change gear
When you enter a jump when are you supposed to let of the throttle
Chin centered over bar pad... Check.
Power to rear wheels as you land... Check!
Q: does this keep the rear end from pogoing?
Here i am 30 years old dont even know how to drive motorcycle watching this video
sooooo do I let off the throttle or no? won't that kill the motor
The motor will only be killed immediately if you press the rear brake
Colin Justin no lol, 2 strokes are meant to be caned, and I mean CANED! So they'll surrvive lol
Michael MacDonald I
Maybe u give it power as soon as u land
How does his kx have a right side exhaust
i have some experience with dirt jumping on a mountain bike. will it help?
Yeah probably
no, way different (ive done both) not too hard to learn tho
thx dude
Can you make a video on how to ride along really tight berm corners? It would really help me
+motoxrider 02 Search our channel we have a berm/cornering tip already!

I started riding at 4 years old on a pw90 and I remember my first large jump I fell and cracked a tooth against my helmet
Thomas Tucker lol
Thanx
do these tips apply to grown men trying to jump for the first time?
I hope so, or else im dead
yup pretty much the same here. bought a yfz450r and being older realized I was letting off the throttle as the front left the ground. didn't wreck but it wasn't a comfortable landing. decided to give it the screw it plan and came in with more speed and that deff helped. but for an hour that's all I did was build confidence each time I jumped. but fatigue also plays a role too.
if i keep nose diving is that my body position are speed
if you "chop" or let off the throttle on the face then it will cause nose dive due to engine break ( depending on gearing)
What if you cant grip the side of the bike with your legs...im not able to cuz my seat line comes up to a lil bit below my knees....i think my ttr90 is wayy to small 4 me
BioLizard Venom don't jump a ttr. Buy a yz85
Why would i do that? four strokes are great, and plus my ttr 90 is bigger than a yz85, also ive ridden an 85 2 stroke, THEY ARE TINY AS FUCK!
do you have to lift on the handle bars
Do you do private lessons?
algun video en español please?
Ya but what if my jump has a landing?
I started when I was 4
Good video but I’m really scared to try to clear one. I can get a little bit more than half way. Could someone help me out please
