I rage quit the game a month and a half ago after the 4th time of hitting an invisible wall trying to play defense on closeouts. I can deal with not shooting but once you take my defensive ability away thats where you lost me.
It's 18-24 that made 2k basketball games the worst. Some like 19 and 20 but with me that's 2 games are just the worst but everyone has their favorites and im not hating but to me not a big fan. Ever since 2k18 the mechanics in 2k basketball games changed and made the whole experience since then much much worse and it's sad.
You’re on point with everything you said. My pg I run with started doing that behind the back cheese and I straight told him I’ll stop running with him. You brought up a great point about proplay animations, I can’t name more than 2-3 examples of seeing it in action.
Its not the pure green window its the gameplay program that 2k uses to make you miss even if your timing is great your pure green window will be so small that it will be impossible to hit it
Game is so inconsistent!If my player is wide open why would the shot meter still have a chance to be fast or slow ?Shouldn’t it be slower since I am wide open ?I could understand if it was a contested shot than it should be faster,but now your green window just completely disappears,but the computer on Hall of fame can still make the shot!
2K23 felt so good sometimes and I felt like I had so much control to the point I could use any move in the game to get to any shot I felt like made sense. I only couldn't do what I wanted on locks. I was able to use somewhat of logic when reading the guy guarding me and was able to make the smallest of movements to get a reaction... I was also high af but that added to the experience.
And about the screens... the only reason they drible around screens this much is because it's the safest way to play. It is hard to score without all the corny speed boosting or using a rediculous move like the magic johnson one. A lot of these guys have no "bag" or even any iq of what to do in certain situations but it's mostly because they never had to because dribbling has been dumbed down to only a few moves being needed to score.
@@toomanyls8306I have to screen every single play!You can’t really get space off of dribble combos anymore because your stamina meter will disappear and you will miss the layup even when you have the defender beat!Its almost like the game wants you to play off of pure speed with ball instead of holding Turbo!You are only supposed to get a small turbo boost that last not even a whole second
Shooting has been broken i mean i understand shooting big greens full court was one thing but the fact that the WHOLE MONTH of october was nothing but updates for shooting which still screwed other gameplay mechanics

Look Proplay does exist but you notice it more when you use all of the players animations on your build for example, Jokic, I use Jokic Pass Style, Post fade, Pass style, layup style, hop jumper Im able to see the fluidity in the animation. The shooting is hard because of proplay other years there was almost a hitch where you were able to time it exactly almost like a delay is the best way I can describe it. My problem is that they keep changing shooting, they should’ve just left it the way it was at launch or actually check the latency before launch 🤦♂️
Shooting is only one thing simple rebound animation morph through or a fouls many animations can't stop forcing huge button delays it's mostly old animations in the new systems don't really work many animations look good but I can't play a game in 2023 that has this much rng and clipping imo
I have said since 2K17, all they care about is MyTeam settings. I always felt they force those settings in Park as well, 2K is all about controlling the player experience. The new TOS, was the last straw.
yeah true i will say one thing about the TOS it sucks but its the norm in gaming even games you buy on the PS store you don't actually own they can take it off if they want they wont but they can legally and pretty much every game has the same TOS now its nuts but its the way it is

Vertical n Blocks, I have a 6,8 PG HYBRID LOCK DOWN DEFENDER 97OVR can snag over centers maxed wingspan interior and perimeter defense on the graph chart... still can block a 6,3 PG lay up or dunk .... anchor gold ,chase down HOF pogo gold , IM ALWAYS THERE no blocks I don't get it It's like my vertical witch is a 87 do NOT ty in/help me jump high for blocks it's like my character Isn't trying ???!!!!! 5:10

I don't think shooting is hard on this game it's very random imo creating the illusion that it's difficult. Shot timings and the latency changes damn near every game and sometimes you miss shots that should be green but they aren't bc 2k randomly decides that you will miss that shot even if you hit the green window. That doesn't happen often but stuff like that shouldn't be in the game. If 2k cared enough to fix their servers and took out the rng in shooting I think a lot less people would complain about it.
exactly i want to make a build with a low 3pt but because i live in au and not right next to the server the latency is bad plus the rng makes it impossible to shoot
Nba 2k18 had the best gameplay,say whatever you want about that game but it was 10x better than this crap.The players f ucking stick to each other like they're glued to each other,can't bypass a single player one on one,most of the time I do just screens and try to bypass it that way which becomes boring and makes the game not enjoyable and fun to play.Maybe I just suck at it but the gameplay isn't satisfying at all even if you manage to.make some good plays.Anf don't even make me start on the stupid driving or just layups that I think I would be able to score irl but somehow the players miss it if just an opponent player is near them like they are f ucking scared if someone is just near them,also if you are on a fastbreak and a lot in front of the opponent they somehow catch you from behind and slow you down to the point that you can't just run and try to dunk or whatever,you're forced to pass the ball.F uck this crap of basketball

Fr even wide opens will have a slim window if the game decides it's time for it to be so
Also the green window shrinks in the middle of a jump shot cause you to miss a two foot layup. 😡

I've been running into a few Zen users. Played a game where a dude score like 45 and only missed 2 shots all threes and fades.. its gets rediculous
