Trying OSRS & Modern RuneScape For The First Time

- I promise not every video is gonna be about me being clueless lol. OSRS isn't unplayable just incredibly Niche. Time has really worn it down by comparison to anything and everything. I would HIGHLY recommend Modern Runescape if ya'll like games like New World kinda. I just like the professions more than anything.

For future reference. There's no such thing as "Modern" RuneScape.
There's only two games, Oldschool RuneScape and RuneScape.
Is not RS3 Anymore, due the name change to just RS, it's also not the "new version" as it has been longer than most of these OSRS Players have lived.
RS is the first game, so it's definitely older than OSRS, making OSRS the "New version" if we're getting technical.
To avoid confusion, just call both games by their actual Names RS and OSRS.

I don't quite think it's high on my priority list rn, but I'll admit it's Modern Runescape is probably the best free to play MMO i've seen that keeps me engaged. I'm a bit biased towards maplestory, but i gotta admit it doesn't give me much to do outside just grinding
@@Tumultulous RS3 is easier to get into, but its combat system is where the game differs from old school. If you want to talk about p2w, RS3 is pay to win. Where in OSRS you have to grind for all your skills no matter what and cant pay for skills, in RS3 you can buy xp basically with Chest keys, etc.. I find old school more rewarding in the leveling and its a lot more grindy game then RS3. Every MMO has a paywall for content, WOW has it in expansions, FFXIV has it in exclusive content like WOW.
@@TumultulousAlso 99% of the player base uses runelite, which helps out with quests and other minute details that makes the game 10x better. I cant play without it. There's youtube videos on how to set up runelite and the best plugins.
Was a fun watch stopped when u started rs3 since i hate micro transactions, u would probably enjoy questing in runescape all of em have good written storys none of the kill x amount bs
That's something I noticed that I really do appreciate about Runescape! I did like that they gave a lotta "Quests" without actually sending me on a quest technically. Like the "Achievement Board" or whatever it's called. As far as story goes, OSRS I had no idea how to find it and I feel it's a big part of what kinda didn't help my experience. Didn't know Modern Runescape is called Runescape 3. What happened to 2?
@@Tumultulous new runescape is 95% pay to win also theres a hd vlient for osrs which makes it look atleast twice as good :)
@Zitzo about as pay to win as osrs. 😆 love how we act like bonds don't exist and you can credit card your way to everything.
But yeah both games are pretty fun.
@@aaronw-arrior9974 was thinking more of all the keys for the chests to gain dubbel exp or pure lamps, there was a guy who maxed purely from rs3 shop
@@Zitzo yeah. Also cost like 10k $ let's be real here. Nobody doing that. And in game rates are fast enough as is. And there's ironman just like in os.
But yeah both games also offer leveling services online. Leeches in game account sharing is allowed. People buy accounts. Like it just is what it is. Let's just not be blind lol
