Nice! The 90s were the best basketball era IMO. The 93 Suns team was such an anomaly. Went from a decent 50+ winning team, then added Charles Barkley and became Finals contenders overnight. I'll never forget it. And being from Phoenix, made it even more special to me. Loved watching them square up against MJ and the Chicago Bulls.
I have 2 hoops in my backyard. A Spalding 60 inch and a 54 inch. The 60 inch i had it for 3 months and the 54 inch i had it for 3 years. I usually play on the 54 inch a lot more than the 60 inch.
@@MotoringAdventures_KE7SAI It’s a nice hoop. I be playing with it everyday and it’s a NBA one too. I had it since 2020. When i first had this hoop i was shooting on this hoop but i never dunked on it though. I never had a problem with this hoop.
It's a seasonal item they carry at Costco. Usually around the fall. www.costco.com/spalding-54%22-performance-acrylic-accuglide-portable-basketball-hoop.product.100806144.html
I filled it with "Base Gel" which is this powder that you mix with water inside the base and it absorbs it and forms this heavy gel that is kind of like a mix between using sand and water, so it is heavy like sand but can be removed easily by adding something to it that releases the water from the solution. It also does not turn into ice in freezing temperatures. The concrete slabs I just added to ensure it does not move. I never tested it without them but I think it's just about as steady as without them. If you're curious, all this in talked about in the installation video here: ua-cam.com/video/IghsYKnXoZ0/v-deo.html
Absolutely! The base jel I added is supposed to keep the water solution from freezing, which prevents any cracking. Fortunately, we live in a fairly warm climate but we do get the occasional freeze period and after 2 years, the hoop has held up well. Thanks for the info!
I have that Barkley jersey. Was great watching them in the 90s.

Oh nice! Why does the 54 get used more?

@@rissonjones1082 That's good to know! Glad it's been good to you!
Jersey choice is kinda ironic because you seem like a good role model
😂😂😂
Dang showing off 😁
With the little b role lol
Awesome man
Haha! Thanks! I had to come out of retirement for this one. 😂
nice video, i think this is the hoop im going to buy, i came from your video from a year ago.
Awesome! You’re gonna love it!
The hoop is out of stock right now but now how long do you think till they restock this hoop
Not sure. Hopefully they’ll restock soon.
You can strap or chain your hoop to the ground. Walmart sell anker hooks and chains.
Is there a reason why the hoop base is sitting on a concrete slab instead of the actual grass?
It’s actually sitting on a couple of kitchen floor ceramic tiles for leveling purposes.
where did you get this hoop? I cant find it anywhere

What did you use to fill the base? I also see some type of slab on top of the base. Was the filling not heavy enough to keep it from falling forward?

That's great! Thanks for responding and for the link!
@@MotoringAdventures_KE7SAIhow do you take it out lol
@@threethirtynine1514Salt water liquifies it. You can then drain it like you would with plain water.
@@MotoringAdventures_KE7SAI wow interesting! Thanks! How’s the hoop holding up and do you still consider it worth the investment?
can i buy it
Sure!
can you come to haiti delmas
how much
At the time of purchase (December 2021) it was right around $300. Not sure what it goes for now.
Tempered Glass is the best backboard instead of acrylic you should have got Tempered glass @@MotoringAdventures_KE7SAI
Hi nice hoop
Hey, thanks!
Once you strap or chain your hoop to the ground, it won't fall over. Not even with high winds.
I definitely should look into it. Thank you!
If you live in a cold climate, you don't want to fill the base of your hoop with water. Water will freeze and the base will crack.

can it be at least 150$ please
I’m not sure if these even sell for the $300 that I bought it for a few years ago. It get great if everything was cheaper again.
can you hang on the rim
It’s not advised by the manufacture.
