    About IRA Financial:
    IRA Financial was founded by Adam Bergman, a former tax and ERISA attorney who worked at some of the largest law firms. During his years of practice, he noticed that many of his clients were not even aware that they can use an IRA or 401(k) plan to make alternative asset investments, such as real estate. He created IRA Financial to help educate retirement account holders about the benefits of self-directed retirement plan solutions.
    IRA Financial is a retirement account facilitator, document filing, and do-it yourself document service, not a law firm. IRA Financial does not provide legal services. No attorney-client relationship exists between the Client and IRA Financial Group, its management, salespersons, or IRA Financial’s in-house legal counsel. IRA Financial provides IRA retirement facilitation service and CANNOT provide Client with legal, investment, or financial advice. Prior to making any investment decisions, please consult with the appropriate legal, tax, and investment professionals for advice.
    IRA Financial is not engaged in rendering legal, accounting or other professional services. If legal advice or other professional assistance is required, the services of a competent professional person should be sought. (From a Declaration of Principles jointly adopted by a Committee of the American Bar Association & a Committee of Publishers and Associations.). The scope of Professional Services does not include the costs of any custodian related services.

    Interesting. I have small investments in MLPs, mainly because the annual distributions are not taxable, however I believe the passive losses can only be recognized to the extent you have passive gains. Since my investment is small, the losses are not large enough for me to look into further but that seems to be how it is calculated by tax software.

    Nice idea. Is there a way to do this without being an accredited investor ($1M assets or $300K income per year)?

    • @IRAFinancial
      @IRAFinancial  10 місяців тому

      Hi,
      I really appreciate your question. Most of the oil and gas deals require accredited investors, although you may want to look around as some may be registered under Reg CF, which allows for up to $5 million to be raised and does not require accredited investors. Hope this helps. Thanks

    Hey I’m a real estate investor that gets hit every time I flip. Would oil & gas investments work for me? Feels like I’m working for the IRS sometimes.😮

      Oil and gas have been popular. However, we cannot give investment advice. But we do allow you to make a wide range of alternative investments. I provided you with two links below.

    Can a major loss selling BTC be used to offset the taxes from a ROTH conversion?

    • @IRAFinancial
      @IRAFinancial  10 місяців тому +3

      Hi, thanks for your question. To offset a Roth conversion, you will need to have ordinary income deductions or a business loss. For a Bitcoin loss, it would be a capital loss which will only allow for up to $3000 to offset your ordinary income from a Roth conversion. Hope this helps.
