Why wouldn't one be able to get this plated? If it has turn signals, rear brake light, and DOT tires you should be able to get it tagged. As long as you have the Bill of Sale and MCO.
The answer is politics mostly. The feds haven't proply approved or classified them as dot vehicles. Colorado is pretty laxed but they have not allowed other e dirt bikes to be plated even with proper equipment. The MSOs are clearly stated off road only. Thus I have to sell them as off road. If you can plate it cool but we can't make any promises. Dumb but government seems to hate these things lol
@@pharettface OK, I understand your situation. I went this am to Florida DVM to try and plate mine and ran into this very problem. The MCO (mine translated from Chinese) only says off road. Now I have to get an inspection. I was told if it's approved, I'll get it plated. Nearly 20 years ago I got a KTM 525 exc plated no problem. I think these thing are so new they are not ready for it, i.e. imported Chinese electric dirt bikes.

"After careful review from my supervisor unfortunately this is a off highway vehicle and can only be titled for ownership and can not be tagged for the use on highway in the state of Florida. Therefore, it would not fall under our purview for inspection." I asked why and got this response "NHTSA has it classified as a off highway vehicle currently in their system. They are at the National level." Bummer!!

19" front wheel is considered a dual sport wheel. 21" front wheel is a true motocross wheel. I Plan to supermoto mine so I'm ordering 17" wheels
I have bought and sold duel sport bikes for 15 years I've never seen a 19in DS bike. DRs DRZs XRs KLRs WRR XT KLX all have 21in front wheels lol.
I'm not sure but Suzuki v storm and Yamaha super tenere may both have 19" front wheels. @@pharettface
