So the 72s with the stamped gas tank were originally top mounted? I was wondering how they were fastened to the washing machine...

Never use two stroke oil in a Maytag engine its made for needle bearing engines, Maytag engines have bronze sleeve bearings only use 30 weight non detergent oil at 16/1 for proper lubrication
