Great question. SSDs are known to be more reliable in not losing data over a long period of time compared to a flash drive. I may be working on the same data set for a year, so I need it both accessible and no risk of losing it. If it was a shorter term, a flash drive would work well.
Is it ok to use google drive as a storage than using hard drives for your data?
Tu Great video
If you just need something to carry around with you, why not use a USB flash drive?
