Very nice job. I actually thought you had taped or papered your area off until I realized you had carved the mouthpiece down . Bang on about the inks. They do leech. Thx for sharing

Where did you get the commission/idea to do a horn with Valentine Sevier? My question is because he is my Great, G, G, G etc. grandfather. I have visited his grave in Indian Grove MO and know a bit about the Sevier family history. Thank you.

Hardwood Charcoal would work better than graphite, followed by a nice coat of Bee's Wax.... Excellent vid, Thank You.

What type of horn and where do I find one so white?

It is a cow horn and to get a white one you just have to go through them. Cow horns come in many sizes and colors.

This isn’t a how to video, it is a teaser for the article written by TC that we published in the March/April 2015 issue of MUZZLELOADER. You can purchase this issue at our website www.muzzleloadermagazine.com additionally we also offer a DVD featuring Ron Ehlert building powder horns that goes into great detail. It can also be purchased from our website.

Good video but very distracting to hear someone else working on sharpening their tools and scraping their horn while TC is trying to demonstrate and explain how to do this. And then a timer "dings" at 7:18 into it and again at 8:12.

Great premise, terrible photography. Close-ups cannot focus, we loose all your amazing detail.
