How did you find the Elmers is holding up? ive been using a rug i made using Elmers for 1 and a half years and it seems fine. I hate Roberts 3095, i dont think it holds the yarn well at all. I'm tempted to try the AAT stuff but it's expensive.
For yarn, go to Michael's and buy a bunch, then use their 20% off entire purchase coupon they have every week. You can also buy in bulk through Michael's too! :D
cool rug! One thing i'd be aware of is that elmer's glue is water washable, so theoretically, any heavy cleaning of that rug could loosen the bond and make the rug unstable.
It varies now. But with the gun, frame, glue , trimmers, backing , tufting cloth and yarn you are looking anywhere from $400-$500 just to get started. Just depends where you can shop around for best deal on the gun. Hope that helps.

Your rug gun is so much quieter than mine and seems easier to handle. I'm gonna have to get your's at some point. I got mine from Tuft The World.
It is actually much quieter than a lot of guns on the market! Glad you noticed:-) my manufacturer has been working on that
