Beautiful BRILLIANT Cut Solid BRONZE Diamond | Worlds Biggest Bronze Diamond
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 вер 2024
- Today I'll be making a solid bronze brilliant cut diamond. I 3D printed a model of the diamond I wanted to make and made a two part mold of it in petrobond sand. I then melted bronze by mixing copper and tin together. I poured the molten metal into the mold. I finished by sanding and polishing it to give it a nice shine and finish. My good friend Perry over at Swdweeb made a similar one in aluminum. Go check out his video when you get a chance (See link below). Happy Thursday everyone! Be sure to check out my friend Swdweeb’s video. A link to his video is in the description. Sit back and enjoy and I’ll see you all next week! 👍🏻
HELLO
What do you guys do for a living to afford the various tools you use and how did you get into melting and casting?
@@jthemagicrobot3960 qq+++
It was like watching "backdraft" 😄😄
Ok ,thats cool as hell .
Hi Adrock. Great video. Please stay safe and healthy and take care of yourself and your family members. To all members also. Ttyl my friend ☺☺☺😇😇😇

Man that bronze diamond looks awesome. Nicely done bro
That’s Awesome!!! Great Work as always!!!! 👍😁
Diamond Geezer
Nice mate 👍
It's beautimous!
@ArtByAdrock I loved how this turned out. Looked difficult to sand with all those sides to it but you pulled it off. I jumped when it spontaneously combusted as you were trying to get it out. Brilliant vid mate. SWDweeb's was awesome too 👍👍
Loved the video..... dude you're the boss, in my 42 years plus in casting I've never seen anyone slide a cope and drag together that way. Greetings from phelan California. Sorry I haven't corresponded with you lately but I have had many health issues lately. BUT I'M BACK!!!!!
Pretty sweet. It's seems like it would be nearly impossible to get the metal to fill upwards in a void without a vent hole. Keep the videos coming!
Still love that fix it felix hammer just Awesome
Melt and re-cast it BIGGER! 😊
7:34 That folks is what you call a "FIRE" Diamond!
Adrock should do a matching gold and siler version
@@Archiemonty Silver (AG) is currently at $25.07 per oz. Or roughly $806 / kilogram. 5.5 pounds of brass is approximately 2.5 kilograms. The difference in density between brass and silver is about 1.2 as a ratio, so approximately 3 kg of silver would be required for finished item. Assume only 10% extra was needed for gates & sprues. So please Patreon over the $2,660 USD so he can complete your suggestion in Silver.
You might need some over-time to pay for the Gold version, $357,516.41 USD.
Thanks for sharing
I enjoy watching.
My man Adrock finally got himself a new spoon for removing slag!
Most of the League of Legends clients are so like this: A *Bronze - Diamond* of an attitude for a player!
We have bronze, we have aluminum, we have copper (Tito4re - I miss ths guy)... now give Bigstackd a call and make him cast a brass one :D
That turned out really good love it
Wow it looks a lot like the yellow gems in Crash Bandicoot games
Almost all diamonds have flaws. I like them anyway! Great job.
wow 😍😍
What's up Adrock? I don't know if you recall this or not but I suggested this about 2 years ago. It was back when you, Bigstackd and the veg oil guy used to do your friendly competions. I made the suggestion in each of your pages and nobody was interested at the time. Anyways, I'm glad you finally attempted it. Now I think you should try one in copper and another in aluminum. They'd look nice all together on your shelves. It wasn't flawless but it was pretty damn good for a first attempt! Keep up the good work! 👍👍👍✌
I do, I talk to BigD daily and remember. It’s hard to comment back all the time so I’m sorry if I don’t right away
Woof! Great video this this week mate. Can't wait to see what you get up too next week. keep up the good work and stay safe.
Adrock I am pressing F for your fallen Dremel, give it a proper Viking Funeral sir.
How about Sly Cooper's cane from the games of 2000s? that is a challenge
Amazing work buddy!
That was a pretty cool flash man lol. Great vid as always man.
The Bronze diamond looked good, to bad for the Shrinkage, we shall call it a Diamond in the Rough.
Turned out great bro 👊🏻they could see it from space
Have you ever considered adding in a bit of machining to your process?
Kudos, for not redoing, or editing out the "whoops".
Be trying some casting myself in the coming weeks 😎
You’ll be hooked so get ready 👊🏻
@@streetcopper1151 I have no doubt lol!
@@Handle_number_7 when I got mine I think I melted 65 pounds of copper the first weekend 🤣
讚👍
Ever thought of upgrading for a forced air burner setup? You'd waste less fuel and get hot faster
shame the diamond wasn't perfect but it still looked good but i bet in the future we see a smelt down of the diamond lol :) maybe
How difficult is it to melt and cast with gold? I've heard you lose a lot of weight in the process and I was wondering if you had any experience.
Edit: Also have you considered you using slag grip? You're already incredibly low on your loss per melt but slag grip would decrease it to practically 0. Just a thought brother
Could not find a stated cost for ASI international "slag grip" but it appears to be a proprieitary boro-silicate mixture used in LARGE comercial operations. Not a hobby level friendly material unless you could get "samples" shipped to you for evaluation purposes.
ADAM AWESOME JOB, that was a little surprise a ball of flame lol.
But ADAM i think you can do a better job on that, you might have to try it again don't get me wrong its still a sweet little piece its just everything you done is pretty much perfect lol 👍😎🇨🇦👍😎🇨🇦👍😎🇨🇦
Bigstackd..
Nice work. Bummer about the dremel. Have you checked the brushes, that would be one of the first things I would check, especially if it's been acting a little weird lately
Все ОКЕЙ лайк
Where does the slag come from when you have remelts? Didn't the slag come off in the first melt?
Quick question, could I use moist dirt for casting? And I still can't thank you and bigstackd enough for being such a inspiration, thinking about making a video but I can't find my camera or tripod
I'm watching ads 1/2 first ad is 5 minutes long so I hope it helps 🙏 (just finished video) nice bronze diamond man came out 🍻🍻
Hi, I really doubt moist dirt would work well. This is due to all the flammable bits in dirt, like rotten wood and insects etc that will spoil your part, and that it is unlikely to hold it's shape well. The best thing to do is buy some bentonite clay for face masks on eBay (if you look hard enough, you can find it pretty cheap). Mix this with sand (I believe the ratio is 5 sand to one clay, but look it up). Add a small amount of water, and you have proper casting sand.
It looks like Its a litle yellow, but could be Just an impression
kool chit brutha luv it! how much did it weigh? is it heavy enuff for a door stop or book end? lol ;)
Can you make a Gear? From aluminium cast?
I Need to do that
Bro don't forget me
Your old subscriber ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful!
I subscribe to both your channel and Swdweeb's. Love you both!
Im sorry I just have to, diamond is a material not the shape. That looks wonderful though.
The "Shape" is in the title BRILLIANT CUT
If one is clumsy as Jar Jar Binks, he should learn to use protections for his hands body face and eyes...
oppp bro
long time melt guy. I have a question about the devil forge. What happens in the devil forge when the crucible leaks? I was thinking of upgrading to a new set up. I had a bad incident with bronze and a steel crucible once. I learned the hard way. Copper leaks out of steel. Cool Watching it happen. Not cool breaking it out.
Don’t use steel crucibles. They don’t last and that’s what’ll happen. You’ll make a mess in the devil forge as well if it leaks, however if you get the kaowool version it’s very easy to replace that
Not bad but Swdeeb's turned out better.
Does anyone else feel like that hammer is going to fall and immediately get scared that their own wife is gonna yell at them?
Awesome ! Question about the filament. That must just evaporate, right ? Seems there's nothing left of it after the cast. Do you know what kind of gas it turns into ? Do you wear a filtermask when you cast ? Happy easter from Austria
What filament? That he makes the mould out of? He doesn’t leave that in when he pours, you can see him removing the mould in every video and definitely see him taking it out in this one at about 2:35 mark.
@@giggidygiggidy4884 honest to god thought he always left the 3d print in. I thought they called that the disappearing wax method or something like that, just nowadays the model is not made out of wax but out of 3d printer filament
@@jurriaanthemmen yeah some of the guys use the burnout method but it’s usually when they’re using the plaster type moulds.
how much do you charge for 1 bronze diamond
Make your fase mask bro please............😭
Can we get a better look at the right arm tattoo?
Looks more like brass instead of bronze to me.
Why is your video exactly like Bigstack D?

Sorry for not being there earlier but the video was freezing up
You can use resin and a UV torch to fill in the print lines. Paint on the resin using a brush then hit with a UV torch, wash off with IPA then sand.
Where can I get a machine gun hammer like that and I will need plenty of ammo
