This song inspired a scene in a Sonic the Hedgehog fanfic I wrote as a kid based on the Sat AM series... this song was the inspiration where Rotor, the walrus Mechanic, had an underwater swimming scene and became super fast like Sonic on land. I threw out the fanfic decades ago... but this song still holds up!
@rogerio s - If you listen to modern German Industrial Techno carefully you can hear that they are actually using almost the same core beats and drum sounds as this, just with massive distortion and/or compression. Same essential composition though.
I know they sampled a lot back then, but does anyone have a clue as to what synth was used to produce the heavenly sound starting at 1:03? It's just too beautiful. I want to make that sound myself.
