I am a single father and my 9 year old boy loves Vegas. You can do Vegas with kids as long as the parents do their job in teaching respect for others. Great video. Absolutely look forward to your next. Keep doing what you do coolist.
Totally, kids takes cues from their parents. You seem like a cool dad.
Love your travel diaries Coolist! I’m binge watching all of your videos haha! Vdara is one of my favorite properties in Vegas, definitely “classy, cool, calm, and cocktails”. Keep up the great content!
Solid videos across the board. Appreciate the honest detailed feedback.
Earned my sub!
Thanks for the review, especially on the drinks!
As someone who has a young child, I agree with you about the kids. Either don’t bring them to Vegas or make them behave and choose your hotel wisely.
Vegas isn’t really a place to take kids imo
Agreed. Kids, for the most part, are a reflection of their parents.
i somewhat disagree, i've been going to Vegas since i was 21. I now have 2 kids, and am 40, but i've still been visiting vegas, just not as often. I agree that you should choose your hotel wisely (**i.e. Cosmopolitan is prob not 1st on my list). I actually think there are more things for kids nowadays, then in the past when i was in my early 20s. I've stayed at the Wynn, Palazzo, & Caesars with my family and had really good experiences with my family at all of those properties.
@@jicalzad That’s awesome!
I’m 37 but it still feels weird to bring a 4 year old to Vegas.
Whatever works though. I think the most important thing is just being a good parent which it seems like you are.
@@bigdofba It really is, but Vegas is certainly not for every family. And for those that do bring their family, they need to plan accordingly. Also, i would be lying if i said i haven't gone to Vegas once or twice without the kiddos. I still enjoy those types of trips as well.
I've stayed at the Vdara twice. It is my favorite hotel in Vegas because there is no casino and it's nonsmoking. Very chill. Great design and rooms. For a "wilder" environment, I walk across the plaza to the Aria.
I just came back broski.. I need to check out this place next time!! Love your content as always!
Vdara is a relaxing way to do Vegas. Appreciate the support as always 🤙🏻
Been researching all the Vegas hotels recently. This video is epitomizing everything I’ve been looking for. Excellent review!
Thanks Annie!!
I stayed at Vdara last year and surprised my mom with the trip. We went in Nov so no pool fun but we were blown away with the hotel. I am going next month and can't wait to check out the pool. Thanks for the great review, I am looking forward to relaxing by the pool
Nice pool setting! BTW the new Resorts World pool environment is stunning!
I have something special planned for resort world. Just waiting for the dust to settle, literally.
James, big fan here. When you say "work." WTF do you mean? All you do is hang out at 5 star hotels, eat, drink and spend money....😁
Which is so much work 😎
Good review brother! 🤙🏼
Thanks bro! Encore next 😎
Hello, recently found your Channel, enjoy your content. I’ve been going to Las Vegas since the 1960s, with my parents, probably 3-5 times per year since. I love it as an easy get away, and when I go, I always stay at 4-5 star properties. I’m not there for the gambling, really, maybe a few hrs one night, I’m mostly there for relaxation, pampering, fantastic restaurants, been to most shows. I’m usually taking full advantage daily of the spa, then great food, drinks, so on. Aria has been my go to, for probably last 6-7 love it. But maybe I will try Vdara next time. The quiet “no casino” atmosphere sounds good to me. Lately walking through a huge casino to get to my elevators, has become an issue w me. Thanks for info, appreciate it.
We just got back from Vegas staying at Bellagio and we got comp'd 3 nights for Vdara. Hardly wait to visit the pool area, no restaurants or casino, and we love it for the same reasons, glad you had this video James I always consult with the Coolist when considering places!
You’ve sold me on this hotel. That is where I am staying on my next visit. Great review. Also do more shirtless vlogs in the future.
I became fan of yours because of your Tokyo, Miami travel documentries. Have u travelled to Montreal, Canada?.
You've been around pretty much since the beginning - I really appreciate your support. That Tokyo trip was unreal, I just wish my vlogging skills were more refined at the time so I could've given those hotels more merit.
Anyway, I love Montreal - I've spent a lot of time there and I'll definitely be back there, and Toronto, as soon as the world returns to normal.
He makes me want to hit Vegas! 🙂🙂🙂
That’s our favorite hotel in LV! Vice Versa has the best drinks!
I really wish they will open the restaurant like it was b4 the pandemic. The food used to be excellent, they had the best pancakes. I miss that!
Vdara is so underrated...
Right on, we stay at Aria and look down at that pool really cool looking property. 😎
Vdara / Aria is such an excellent combination. One of the best in Vegas - top 3 maybe.
@@Coolist ohh ya I agree, Aria has lots of visual interest, curves, glass, high end materials, terrazzo floors like you wouldn't believe, as does Wynn, Venetian etc. Not to mention it's the largest hotel in the world to be gold LEED certified, not an easy task to achieve!
Nice 😎
🙏🏻
Is the pool, bath water warm?
I'm staying there. Free comps. Fountain view. Going to checkout out. 8 more days!!!!
Free comps - fountain view. Nice 😎
first time i came to vegas my parents took me to vdara prob my best vegas experience which is why it always made me want to come back to vegas. it’s way more family oriented than other hotels but it’s great for family’s. i’ve been to aria pools mgm etc etc and the experience is just a different fee then vdara and too be frank i honestly like it
I definitely prefer the Vdara pool to Aria’s, but it goes without saying I prefer Aria’s restaurants to Vdara’s 😅
@@Coolist definitely. hands down agree with you there
Stayed at Vdara but didn't use the pool, next time. A great review!
Is there shade at the pool ?i would like to lie out but really dont want to get the sun ??
Another plus is all the umbrellas installed by the hotel to combat the “Death Ray.” So even the most basic chair option is already improved!
The death ray really accelerated my tan 😎
Can Vdara guests use the Aria pool?
Is there a free water fountain?
I can't wait to take my preteen grand daughter to a LV pool. This is one of her favorite things. I know she would love to order drinks/ snacks and swim all day. Soft drinks ofcourse. She knows how to behave so she can handle it.
I noticed a lot of kids that age enjoying themselves at the NY NY pool.
@@Coolist yeah that pool must be nice with the roller-coaster above.
I'll take Aria's pool area any day.
I stayed there when they called this the death ray pool. Before they added the umbrellas you had the curved reflection of the hotel beaming on you. I had a small plastic gift bag by the pool and it melted from the reflection of the August sun. The pool water temp was over 100 degrees when I was last there. Now with the umbrellas this might work, but I think it's still worse than full sun pools with no reflection. If you burn easily I wouldn't stay in the pool for more than an hour max!
👍🏻
🤙🏻
bro recommend a good sun screen for vegas heat
Go higher SPF than you're used to and just reapply more frequently.
Checkout my Vegas Essentials video. I mention my top choices.
Love this post. I’m coming. 9/1. Til. 9/4
So conflicted. So maybe an evening at the Vdara to experience the pool, but then reserve nights elsewhere. Somewhat tongue in cheek but...
Evenings at vdara don't offer much Jack!
The pool looks great . I liked the view of the City Center buildings. I’m with you ..I hate those machine coladas …Hand blended is totally better. Glad the children were behaved …so no Marco Polo this time ? 😎😎😎
The city center views in the background were striking. And for the record, there's nothing like a freshly and authenticity made pina colada.
And if I would've heard Marco Polo at Vdara, I probably would've spontaneously combusted 😡
@@Coolist Great answer ! Spontaneously combusting can definitely ruin a fun day at the pool for sure so luckily those kids had parents keeping them in check .
Cucumber Cooler, perfect. Margarita, perfect. Rum Punch, perfect. Berry Breeze, perfect. Mojito, perfect. Bare chest, PERFECT! ;)
Oh geez 😆
Yeah. He’s one handsome guy !!
Isn't that the "death ray" pool?
According to the media
@@Coolist seems like the Vdara agrees if you look at the picture when it first opened. They had almost no umbrellas but now they have them everywhere.
Umbrellas were Just a PR response to bad press.. . I sat In an unshaded area and didn't notice a difference compared to every other hotel.
More shirtless!
Can you still get your bacon egg cheese burger
Hey man!! Great to hear from you. After Vegas I'm definitely going somewhere tropical.
Are you asking if I Can I get a burger at the pool?
@@Coolist yeah dude. You love to have a juicy bacon egg cheese burger on your trips.
Hay I always wondered how you stay trim eating and drinking good. Now I know you stick to a strict diet except for when your filming or on your vacations. Thats smart. The guy from man vs food does the same.
With that being said I think your on your " cutting cycle" as I am using only C4 and jogging 5 miles before I go to work and using the total gym for belly blasting. As a 45 year old I'm fine with not being buff anymore ( Sarms) I just don't want to be big ! Just medium. Your trim.
P.S. I leave for cancun for the first time with my wife and 14 year old. We almost did J.W. marriott and Westin Laguna mar but at the last second I booked Occidental Xcarret resort. All inclusive at a steal!!!! Like the kinda steel you got rits carlton cancun. Yeah!!!!
Looks nice. Looks more my style too. My next stay in July is at Delano, but I def want to stay at Vdara next!
Delano and Vdara - I like your style 😎. You have good taste.
