I got my left flat we were discussing the placement and my piercer told me a place and I said "ooohh maybe a tiny bit more to the left", it ended up being almost a helix and i came back very ashamed to my piercer and telling him I wanted him to re do it where he told me before hahaha we took it out and did it again and now it's perfect, I love it so much💕

@@user-kb3hr Hi! I did have it repierced and the old one left no scars! I took it out after a week or so though, so If you want to get it repierced I would recommend you to take it as soon as possible. The more you wait, the more chances are that you'll have some more noticeable scarring. It also depends a lot on the person. You can take it out and see how it progresses :)

I completely understand the sadness of taking a piercing out. Especially for a piercing that’s old. However it’ll be worth it in the long run! Xx

My first non-lobe piercing was a Helix piercing that wasn't quite in the right place. It was too high for rings, too low for crescent-shaped clusters, and I just didn't like the look of a stud in that specific spot. So, when I really got into piercings I decided to retire it to fit my new ear layout. Now I have 2 Helix piercings next to the (tiny) scar of the retired one: one above for clusters and one below for rings.

The only piercing I retired was my tongue piercing. I grew tired of it, and it had done some damage to my gums. I did replace it though----with a 4 gauge dermal punched left conch. That hurt quite a bit, but it's healed now. Sometimes you have to do what you have to do. It's sad, but maybe it's for the best. (Jan Griffiths).

I literally could relate to this video so much, about almost a month ago I had to remove my left nostril piercing that I had for 5 years, cause the hoop I had in (bad quality) kept giving me bumps and it wouldn't go away. So my piercer told me to take it out and let it heal and come back in a month or so till get it re pierced. I was definitely a bit sad about it cause it was my favorite piercing but luckily i do have my right nostril pierced so I'm ok with that for now.

They still would have been perfect even if you left them. They were perfectly fine and your pictures would have been perfectly fine but now they'll be really perfectly perfect when you get it re-pierced. People who wanted to point out that they were not perfectly aligned are obnoxious trolls. You're beautiful! Plus, imperfections are part of life. But we can strive for our idea of perfection. About the things that are important to us, especially. Wedding photos are important. You definitely don't want your kids to be pointing out that your nostril piercings are uneven!

The only way to see it was to realy pull back my hair. I already had 1 forward helix that I can see. The new one was only a mm or 2 out. Taken it out and getting 're done in the new yr.

When I got my first piercing besides my earlobes I got my conch. The piercer said it had to go in the top part or bottom part of my conch and that it couldn’t be pierced in the middle. I ended up going to a different piercer who took out the earring and repierced it in the middle and I feel more balanced out with the placement.

YES! I had to remove *TWO* piercings for a hospital visit!!!
I got a left helix piercing in, I believe, December 1998. I loved that piercing and had wanted it for so long, but my dad did not approve. So, I had to wait until I was an adult. As an adult, I told my mom what I was going to do, and sure enough, my dad looked at my year and said nothing after getting it done. Also, I got a belly piercing in September 1998 and to this day (August 15, 2023) my dad probably doesn't know that I have it!
ANYWAY, I had been sick on and off for reasons that were then unknown to me. This landed me in the hospital a few times, with one visit requiring an MRI.
I had to take out those 2 relatively new piercings without the ability to get retainers. By the time that I had been discharged from hospital and had time/energy to try putting the piercings back, the wholes seemed to have closed up! I went back to the piercer thinking that they could stretch the holes. NOPED! I had some cartilage damage where the helix used to be. The hole went from an 'O' shape to a 'U' shape! As for the belly piercing, it was irritated and mostly closed up. ARGH So much for stretching those to holes. I had to a new helix and a new belly button piercing.
So no, I didn't get tired of having them, *24 years later* ! I got screwed over my a combo of my health and my need for an MRI.

When I was 20 years old (my junior year of college), I got my navel pierced. It wasn't done properly and just wasn't healing up. I went to another facility while visiting family over Christmas break to see if they had any suggestions. They spent over an hour just trying to get the fool thing out, then they re-pierced it correctly, and with an actual navel ring as opposed to the eyebrow ring it was originally pierced with. I enjoyed it for 13 years until I had a hysterectomy. I had to take it out for the surgery, and it just didn't want to go back in. I knew I was already dealing with healing the incision (it was done abdominally, so similar to a C-section), so I just bid the navel ring a fond farewell. Here we are 3 years later, and I still occasionally catch myself absent-mindedly twirling the ring that isn't there haha

I got my left nostril pierced 9 months ago and I kinda wish, now that it's healed, I can't really wear a hoop because it's to low but I can live with this as I love dainty jewels in it anyway. The only reason, I kinda wanna try a hoop is because most people who get their nostril pierced is because they want a hoop. It's a sorta trend idea and I can't follow it because I can't find the "perfect hoop" for mine but as said, I prefer jewels anyway.

My second lobes were done too close to my first ones and too low down. The idiot who did them didn't mark them and ask me, he just eyeballed it, and i was a kid too nervous to ask and I just trusted him (don't ever do this! Always ask to see) It bugged me right from day one and also made getting the third ones difficult cuz they needed to be equally as close and it was hard to decide where to put them. It looked weird, the three piercings formed a V shape, but i found it was okay if I wore a hoop in the first hole and studs in the other 2. In the end though, I took the third ones out coz they wouldn't stop getting infected and irritated over a year and a half later no matter how well I looked after them. Now my two weirdly placed lobes still bother me if I focus on them for too long but generally speaking, I think they're okay and I'm not gonna go through the faff of getting them re done

I got my conch pierced almost 2 years ago and the piercer put a dot on to mark the placement and I agreed on it. Then he put one of those clamps that are used on septums (not sure what they’re called) and because of that he must not have been able to see exactly where he was piercing so it under up being slightly higher up than I wanted. I’ve got a picture of just after it was done where you can see the dot on my ear and then the piercing no where near the dot. I’ve still got the piercing although I do get annoyed with the placement from time to time and I have considered taking it out but now I’m thinking of getting another below it in the place where I originally wanted to make it like a double conch.

Why should it heal up at all after this time without surgery?
I have got a pair of healed nostrils empty for 20 years and I can put in jewelry quite easily.

Are you going to do the same thing with your lower lip? It appears to be a millimeter or two out of alignment with your upper lip piercing.
