Yes the sentiment mercy me is sharing is a sweet father's prospective. But Jesus Christ's birth was well arranged and watched over by God our Heavenly father and His angels. We are so blessed with God's infinite grace mercy and ❤️ love. What a tremendous LOVE our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ have for us.
I get what MercyMe is saying. But remember he is not really Joseph son he is the son of God and while Joseph thinks of his son he is still the son of God and he is Jesus.
He still raised Him. Of course He was the Son of God but He was also raised in a loving family with a mother and a father figure. Even the Bible describes them both as parents. In Luke 2:41 "Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover." Luke 2:48 "And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing."
Yes He is God's son. Jesus said greater love has no man than to lay down his live for a friend. This is what Jesus Christ did for us all. Jesus paid the price for us. He was doing what we couldn't do for ourselves. This is the Amazing Grace we sing about. Our triune God is full of Love Mercy and Compassion for us. He provided a plan. Jesus in his love chose to come from His throne and live the human life we all live; this is the depth of their Mercy, Love, and compassion. Jesus gained experience and compassion for us humans due to his experiences. We are blessed with mercy compassion and love from our triune God. The Holy Spirit still looks for opportunities to show love and understanding.
