This is quickly becoming my favorite fishing channel. I love the relaxed feel to it. Great job of making the videos feel more like going on an adventure with a friend, and less like a scripted TV show.
Good series! One thing I've done when I was tired of eating fish was to raise the grill high over the campfire and leave the fish cook for a long time over low heat until it dries out like jerky. I season it with garlic powder, salt, pepper, sugar and some more garlic powder. I like the chewiness of it, especially if I've had my fill of fish cooked the usual way. I also like sitting there watching a campfire and the smoke can help keep the mosquitos back a little.

This series inspired me! My GF and had to run to the east side of WA to deliver her daughter to family for the summer. I just had to hit my favorite warm water species lake and nailed some dandy smallies. The biggest pushing 20". then stopped to cook filets by the roadside on the way home(prior to fishing land locked coho). And YES I bleed everything I intend to keep. freshly bled and iced fish are top quality
I would suggest you using the walleye eye's for bait. They work really well. I found the best way to get the eye's out is by sliding your thumb through their gills and then hust push on the eye's.

Use window screen with magnets when your tailgate is down to keep out the mosquitoes and spray it with some repellent. Have you tried uncle bucks beer batter at cabelas or bass pro, it is good seasoned fish batter

Stachr bag...Went to Upstate N.Y. and fished from shore off the jetties using 1/5 Ned rigs around the Northern area of the jetty....Hooked and landed a 25 1/2" Walley !!!!
It says on the back of the bottle how to apply to your face it's quite easy also if you don't like bug spray I would recommend repel brand with picaridin instead of deet it's in a red bottle and directed towards ticks but still works just as well on mosquitoes gnats and flies it has almost no scent after you sprayed it on and it's not greasy like deet based products it's also not harmful to your gear or plastic or rubber as DEET will eat those things up
Because of channels like yours I have completely stopped watching TV and only watch UA-cam content other than the occasional movie thanks for making something unique and entertaining that people can connect with

I don't bleed my wallies but i do soak my fillets in salt water for 10 minutes or so to firm it up, especially if I'm battering and frying it. Damn, this is making me wish i had some!
I always bleed them before i fillet them! Makes them taste awesome. Flakier and less fishy. Cut the gills or under the throat down to the heart. There’s a vein there and they bleed out quick. I bonk em before so they dont suffer as much
You should totally do this again, also invest in a thermacell I live in the south where the mosquitos can fly you away and with it I can sit naked in a swamp without a bite lol

We fish alot of walleye up here and most ppl bleed them out and some don't but i will tell u with walleye it does make them taste a bit cleaner.
I just can’t imagine them tasting any cleaner, shit was fire, but I’m gunna try it!
