Well done to the young man who described himself as agnostic .He had genuine questions and a will to find out what cliffe had to say rather than the hard heart that is only interested in undermining Christianity .The result was a very informative discussion !!!
Yeah but he didn't present evidence of a god. 1a. Design: our universe overwhelmingly _doesn't_ seem designed. (At least not for us, which is his implication.) 1b. Design: but let's say he could indicate design. Why would that be evidence of a god? It wouldn't. That's why he has to dishonestly present a false dichotomy, offering two choices (god vs. matter/energy) as though they're the only possibilities. 2. Is god living? If so, god must come from life, according to Cliffe's "life come from life" argument. If not, you already understand why his argument is dishonest. 3. Did Cliffe provide evidence of moral absolutes (objective morality)? He didn't. Well _Cliffe's opinion_ isn't evidence, only evidence is evidence. Worse, if Cliffe had evidence of moral absolutes would that indicate a god? No. Why would it? So presenting it as evidence of a god is dishonest.
@@majm9309 Firstly I disagree regarding design In short life is too vulnerable and dependant on so many different factors that without every single one being right we would die within seconds .Moving on I therefore think that there has to be an intelligent mind begind it .The universe has a begining so we have the question of first cause .put it together and we have a designer .The next question is how do we gain the identity of the designer .
@@davidmccarroll8274 Those aren't logical arguments for a god though. For "design" to be evidence of a god, you'd need to be able to actually conclude with a god. You don't even have clear evidence of design -- all you have is a universe that happens to support life, without any knowledge of how many failed universes may exist. So the fact that this is an unknown (theists aren't presenting evidence a god designed the universe) is why it's illogical to call this "evidence of god". (And often theists don't even call it that. They immediately retreat to talking about a designer. So even they seem to understand this argument doesn't really satisfy "evidence of god" at all.) For causality either (A) everything or (B) not everything had a cause * if A, an uncaused god is impossible * if B, a god isn't necessary. (Because you'd be saying any given thing might be uncaused.)
Have you ever lied, stolen, used God's name in vain, looked wuth lust? if so you need to repent today and Believe in Jesus Christ to save you from Hell and go to heaven instead
@@davidmccarroll8274 So do you agree we don't have evidence of a god? Because nobody's presenting evidence of a god (A) existing or (B) being responsible for life, or the universe, or fine tuning, or the various other things gods are said to have done. _But knowledge requires evidence._ That means because nobody can present A or B, _nobody knows gods exist._ If truth is our goal, we must only believe true ideas (and avoid believing falsehoods or unknowns). Well _not having evidence means it's unknown._ So do you have any actual evidence of a god, or are you willing to abandon belief in this idea you don't know to be true? I think you should value truth.
Everyone in this video dress so modestly and appropriately. Even the most obnoxious among the students speak with a lever of clarity and reason. I wish this was the world I grew up in.
You don't have to literally spend your life wandering the earth as a homeless vagrant spreading the word of Christ to get into heaven. If you feel that you're calling then you need to settle that with Christ through prayer and meditation and be honest with what you feel like you need to do. Don't be resentful towards your calling. Also don't look at others people's calling and take that on as your own obligation. One of the men hung on the cross with Christ is dining in Paradise with him right now. That's the extent of Jesus mercy. This man had not known the Christ well until his dying breath but still he is in heaven. Very powerful guys very powerful. Trust in the Lord and he will guide us all to our destinies which ultimately ends up in heaven with him. How we get there on earth doesn't really matter as long as we pray and obey. ❤️🎉
If you are going to judge GOD, do it fairly...for yourself, you're not hurting HIM, he's a big boy. Count on it, GOD will judge you fairly...for you. See how much Our Lord cares about you, he will not take you to Heaven against your will. God Bless You All In Jesus Name.
Atheists say that you can create life. You can create the parts of life, you cannot create the incredible complexity of a functioning simple, single cell.
I've watched almost all of Cliffe videos ,...but there are still a lot of questions, I was born in a non-Christian country and I converted to Christianity but maybe because my dad is married another woman and some things were bad for me so I see Christ's teachings are perfect for me ... but I've seen Many righteous people without the Christian faith. I feel sorry for humanity .
The reason why you will see people who are good without the Christian faith is because we are all made in the image of God. Every person knows what right and wrong is, because it’s written in our hearts
Romans 3:9-20-9 What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”[b] 13 “Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.”[c] “The poison of vipers is on their lips.”[d] 14 “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”[e] 15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood; 16 ruin and misery mark their ways, 17 and the way of peace they do not know.”[f] 18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”[g] 19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
Everyone has the capability to do good and the capability to do evil. It’s all about whether the resurrection of Jesus Christ happened or not. Be careful yet open-minded and keep honestly searching for truth. The more you know the better. God bless.
On topic of origins of life recommend watching dr. James Tour. In short - modern science is nowhere near assembling a single simplest living cell (controlled reactions and highly sophisticated equipment being used) let alone that happening in a warm puddle by its own. Please dive in this interesting subject.

@@Brostopherr I should have known. Look how docile and normal people are. Today everyone is enraged and argumentative. My first thought should have been to look in the description
Around 23 minutes in the origin of life thing is brought up. Now, back in 1997 Cliffe probably couldn't have known this, but in more recent times James Tour, one of the world's most renowned biochemists have challenged the origin of life community. The basic story is that Darwin speculated about some primordial soup, or pond, filled with chemicals and getting struck by lightning and such. This is still taught today, heck in was in Star Trek. Well then in the fifties a scientist whose name I forget mucks about with chemicals in a lab, and manages to create something that looks like the building blocks for life. This further strengthens the theory, and today many origin of life researchers are still going at it. They express much faith that science will eventually figure it out. That's where James Tour comes in. On his youtube channel he has issued five chemical and biochemical challenges to the origin of life research. If anyone can answer just one of these questions James Tour has woved to shut down his entire channel. To this date no one has provided any kind of answer to his challenges. Anyway, look into it, but the gist of it is that it looks increasingly impossible that life arose from basic chemistry, and that wasn't know too well back in the 90s.
*I'm 70 now and have read only the exact same copy of the King James Bible my church gave me in 1961. (This does not mean I was a King James onlyist but now I'm glad I never read any others or I might not have noticed the supernatural changes as quickly.) I had memorized many scriptures from it through the years. Then in 2014 I started seeing changes in it that I couldn't explain. I have an exceptional memory, for instance I can draw a detailed picture of my baby stroller. I had never owned a computer or heard of the "Mandela Effect" back then. But after being given my first computer on 2016, I finally found out why I had been noticing all of the oddities that I couldn't explain. I then started diligently studying what should actually be called the ''Daniel 7:25 Effect''. That's where God said He would give the antichrist the power to "change times and laws'' which we now know meant (history and scripture plus laws of physics). We're seeing many end times prophecies being fulfilled SUPERNATURALLY! This is some of the "lying signs and wonders" that God told us He would give the AC power to perform which would even deceive His very elect, if it were possible in 2nd Thessalonians chapter two!* *God said in the end of days, (NOW!) that He would send us a famine for hearing His word in Amos **8:11** and that He would give the antichrist the ability to do this in Daniel 7:25. In Daniel 12:4 & 12:9 He told him to seal his book until the end days. He told John **_not_** to seal his book because the end time is at hand in Revelation 22:10. One of the Greek definitions of seal in Strongs concordance is “to protect from Satan”. He also told us to write His words in our hearts, which meant memorize, if not word for word at least the essence of what was written, because He knew this was going to happen.* *God commanded us to "prove all things", and people **_better_** obey Him, especially on this subject. I urge you to research this. There are many brothers and sisters making videos about the changes with more proof of what was originally written and I have lots more about this in my playlist 👉 which can be found by typing in ( proof of bible change residue junkie )* 👈 *I've continued to study scripture and have grown MUCH closer to Jesus by learning what Satan has been changing. Soon Amos **8:12** will be fulfilled too, and the only way it can happen is by not being able to see these videos that document what used to be written in our bibles.* *_May God bless all who read this with eyes to see this incredible faith strengthener, and how close we are to our Saviour's return!!!!_* *P.S. I feel for the young man asking questions after 17:45 The further along the exchange goes, the more it seems like he is a clinical sociopath, but one that is truly seeking to understand why he is the way he is and how he can possibly correct his behavior.
29:00 But would feeling regret not indicate that there was a feeling you didn’t particularly enjoy (guilt in this sense) that would then lead to the feeling of regret? Regret can’t exist in a vacuum, the mere concept of feeling regretful implies there is a different course of action and/or feeling you would have rather taken. So in the literal sense of the word, regret could not possibly be the initial feeling felt, there would first need to be an emotion/feeling strong enough to then bring about regret into the scenario. Curious to see if people agree because I don’t think I’m wrong on that
Besides Order, Life, Moral absolute, and Love, I think we need to even back up further and consider Creation. I know that Cliffe is somewhat equating Order with Creation, but Creation deals with the fact that matter and energy exists. Nothing can not creation Creation.

It's fascinating to see the difference between college kids in the 90s vs today. These kids were seeking truth. They weren't jeering and mocking, they disagreed respectfully and wanted to get into the argument itself rather than become a court jester.
That's really just not true. Kid in the beanie at 6:28 was completely disrespectful and was making a complete fool of himself

I agree there were some that were rude and there always will be,but we have to agree that it's gotten worse. Today's youth have deep hate for Christ. Somehow I think the teaching of evolution has a hand in it, because evolution doesn't involve God it disguises itself with "science" .
@@martinkhanyile5499 That's true enough. Personally I don't think it's purely evolution, from my experience it starts younger than when evolution is properly taught. I couldn't say exactly what is causing it, though

Cliffe and team, this video was, as always, excellent, thanks for sharing it.
He was genuinely seeking answers not argument
He reminds me of myself at one point.
@justingary5322why did cliffe tell him “I think it’s totally possible that this intelligent mind is a warped Scrooge.” Doesn’t that conflict with Gods nature of being moral, perfect, just and good and God is Love. So how could he say that?
He was giving a hypothetical scenario that IF there is a god, there is a possibility he isn't all good. However, he was NOT saying that the God of the Bible IS that scrooge, but merely that it can be possible that a creator of the universe might not be perfect@@brewhaha515

Yeah the kids are so smart and well spoken
Your videos are fantastic. The more I watch them, the closer I am to him and the stronger my faith is in his teachings. Don't stop!
In all your time watching his content have you ever heard him present evidence of a god? (I mean evidence, not illogical things like his "design/order of the cosmos", where he has exactly zero evidence a god was involved with that yet he's treating it as evidence of God -- and that's even if we're generous and assume he shows the cosmos _looks_ designed (it doesn't).)
@@majm9309 The sun is at the perfect distance from earth. The earth is perfectly tilted to sustain life. Our orbit keeps us from floating away, burning, or freezing. I myself doubt that this happened by chance and I count that as evidence for the existence of a greater being than any one of us human beings.
@@RonanWestlund Did you distract to those unrelated topics because you agree we don't know a god exists? Or are you saying you have evidence a god (a) exists and (b) was involved in those topics somehow? Well if you had that, *don't hide the evidence, man, out with it!*
But if you don't have that, then you don't know the explanation for why the sun is that distance, right? In fact if the sun wasn't that distance, wouldn't humans cease to exist? So then 100% of life will always -- by definition -- discover that it lives somewhere life can live. Life lives where live can live -- and it doesn't live where it can't.

Cliffe I believe this video is not as viewed as it should be, this answers a LOT of common questions and misconceptions about Christianity, Christ, and God. Every time I watch ur videos my faith grows stronger, not because watching anything alone improves my faith, but the second I started truly taking Christianity, I started watching your videos, and every question I have had so far has been answered almost perfectly. You are an incredible Christian, and most often use citation directly from the Bible, but also use verifiable evidence and very strong logic to connect the dots, and communicate it in such a way many people can easily understand it.
It’s refreshing to see respectful intelligent conversations among differing views.
Paul was gainfully employed as a tent maker as well as a church planter. Joseph of Arimathea paid out of his wealth for Yeshua's tomb. There was a family in my first church who immigrated from Europe and established a highly successful landscaping business. They served faithfully in the church, lived exemplary lives as believers, tithed and supported Christ-centered ministries, extended hospitality, visited the invalids and widows, fed the hungry, sheltered the homeless, and so on...and managed to remain rich

(At least not for us, which is his implication.)
So even they seem to understand this argument doesn't really satisfy "evidence of god" at all.)
For causality either (A) everything or (B) not everything had a cause
* if A, an uncaused god is impossible
* if B, a god isn't necessary.

I'm blown away by Cliffe's knowledge of the Bible.

10 As it is written:
“There is no one righteous, not even one;
11 there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
12 All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”[b]
13 “Their throats are open graves;
their tongues practice deceit.”[c]
“The poison of vipers is on their lips.”[d]
14 “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”[e]
15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 ruin and misery mark their ways,
17 and the way of peace they do not know.”[f]
18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”[g]
19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.
God bless.
God bless you brother Cliff 🙏

He’s debunked this in more modern videos along with his son. It’s all just theorizing anyways.

This is some of the "lying signs and wonders" that God told us He would give the AC power to perform which would even deceive His very elect, if it were possible in 2nd Thessalonians chapter two!*
*God said in the end of days, (NOW!) that He would send us a famine for hearing His word in Amos **8:11** and that He would give the antichrist the ability to do this in Daniel 7:25. In Daniel 12:4 & 12:9 He told him to seal his book until the end days. He told John **_not_** to seal his book because the end time is at hand in Revelation 22:10. One of the Greek definitions of seal in Strongs concordance is “to protect from Satan”. He also told us to write His words in our hearts, which meant memorize, if not word for word at least the essence of what was written, because He knew this was going to happen.*
*God commanded us to "prove all things", and people **_better_** obey Him, especially on this subject. I urge you to research this. There are many brothers and sisters making videos about the changes with more proof of what was originally written and I have lots more about this in my playlist 👉 which can be found by typing in ( proof of bible change residue junkie )* 👈
*I've continued to study scripture and have grown MUCH closer to Jesus by learning what Satan has been changing. Soon Amos **8:12** will be fulfilled too, and the only way it can happen is by not being able to see these videos that document what used to be written in our bibles.*
*_May God bless all who read this with eyes to see this incredible faith strengthener, and how close we are to our Saviour's return!!!!_*
*P.S. Everyone is going to learn about this one way or the other. I'm just trying to keep as many people as I can from hearing Jesus explaining it to them at the Gate.* ❤✝️💪

W SWEATER!!! (I love that sweater)
Curious to see if people agree because I don’t think I’m wrong on that
God bless you🙏🏼
