AK SKYLINE it's set in race mode, that's why it has no reverse, with it OFF, hold the on button Down, until it blinks red, one time fast. That's regular 100% mode, forward and reverse. Two fast red blinks, is race, only forward, 100%, three is training mode witch is 50% forward also backwards. To change the low voltage safety, have it turned ON, then hold the button for ten seconds, or vice versa, but for ten seconds.
Looks like the plug end on yours is a deans T connector so you'd need a deans T to Traxxas adapter but you can get one on ebay, amazon or maybe a local hobby shop.
@@shalakabooyaka1480 I suggest powerhobby. I got a 5200mah 50c 3s Lipo on eBay for 48$. If you need a 2s it would be even cheaper. Also floureon if you're on a budget. But I run gens ace, floureon and power hobby have all been great to me. Also I have the traxxas charger and it works great. If you have a traxxas Id charger and get a non traxxas battery you need to get a little hookup adaptor that your local hobby shop could make or can find on eBay for like 3-6$. Hello my friend just noticed we have same car and battery, haven't ran it yet cause I'm scared of not having a lipo bag to store battery when I'm done .should I be so paranoid
I've been using mine for 6 months and store it on the shelf right next to the charging station and vehicle. No problems thus far.
@@FranksTechHelp alrighty thanks again looking for more content
@@williechestnut7133 Thanks, I'll be doing a rear tire replacement soon using Anaconda tires.
No
Is this the 2wd Version or the 4x4? And nice Video!
Thanks so much! And yes, It's the 2wd version. I have a review of the 4x4 VXL here: ua-cam.com/video/V73JVEzzfco/v-deo.html
@@FranksTechHelp okei thank you buddy🤟🏻
@@smperkins410 I don't know much about rc cars, come down
The rear tires are the only ones moving. Why would you even think it's 4wd. You don't need to be a genius to figure this stuff out.😂😂😂
So I have had mine for almost 2 weeks now. It works fine it turns fine, it goes forward but not backwards and I don’t know why.
If Steven's method doesn't work try resetting the transmitter
Pls tell me how much the cost & which online can I book this taxxas
I purchased mine on eBay but you can get it on Amazon or from a local hobby shop. Ebay is probably cheapest.
I have a 4x4 vxl but I wouldn't mind the 2wd
Nice car feel bad for the flips huh
To hard to control
To decide what would be the best for backyard fun traxxas rustler vxl vs vxl 4×4
I'd go for the 4x4 any day. Much more fun in general. I'm actually gonna sell mine and upgrade.to the 4x4 soon.
@@FranksTechHelp it's not an upgrade it's just 4x4
They're both stable you just gotta know how to controle it right
Does this rustler hold the Traxxas 5000mah 3S battery?
Yes, 5000mAh 11.1v 3-Cell 25C LiPo Battery: traxxas.com/products/parts/batteries/idpowercellbatteries/lipo/2832X-5000mah-111v-3S-25C
Yes .. i am actually using 5000 mah 3s Li Po battery in the VXL
Stadium truck not dune buggy. The Bandit is the buggy style truck.
I’m buying this
your welcome
Tq sir
Ballooning tires make it have less traction, and rip the tires up😂😂😂😂! I don’t know what you are saying
Yea I updated the description of this video to reflect that.
I came here to right the same. I'm like Wut? Ballooning is something you really want to get rid of and why there are belted tyres now.
I love traxxas
The expanding tire make me feel weird
I’m not the only one then...
how much is it
$280 for just the car
Those tires sure don’t like the asphalt huh.
Yo what's up people I'm new to this rc life ordered my rustler because of this vid can I use a voltz lipo 4000mah 11.1 volt 50c 3s power pack
Looks like the plug end on yours is a deans T connector so you'd need a deans T to Traxxas adapter but you can get one on ebay, amazon or maybe a local hobby shop.
May I have a lipo battery
Yes, this works with 2S & 3S lipo batteries as well.
I love traxxas cars and trucks but there lipo batteries suck. They might as well start calling them puff masters....
Which batteries and charger would you suggest then?
unreal695 floureon or venom if your on a budget gens Ace for high quality lipos
Nvm turnigy blue lipos for budget they are extremely good
@@shalakabooyaka1480 I suggest powerhobby. I got a 5200mah 50c 3s Lipo on eBay for 48$. If you need a 2s it would be even cheaper. Also floureon if you're on a budget. Look on eBay as they have them cheap, fast and free shipping. Anything but traxxas will do. Also try to get a higher c rating battery. 25c 30c is too low in my opinion. Also when choosing a Lipo always look at the connector, you can always get adaptors if you need. For example if you get a power hobby lipo with a deans connector you will need a deans to traxxas adaptor. But they are cheap.
@@boomtownmdm6704 from what I understand 2s 5800 Mah for 50%driving in tight areas 3s4000mah and up for insanity runs. And get cooling fans for esc and motor .I'm new to this myself so when I want to know I ask him he's great
The slash is way better
@pie worm Worm pie they're all bad
You need driving lessons and mah stands for milli amp hours
Wwoo budy easy on the steering that's why you're flipping .
Sorry I just had to say you keep saying “mah” like your talking about your mom. It’s pronounced “miliamp” like you don’t pronounce 11.1 volts as “v” right? It’s an abrevation.
Technically its "milliamp hour" ...
Mista Magik ya your right but still he said it like “mah” lmao
i bet you already wore out the rear tires, they don`t last very long running on the street
You are correct sir. I'm about to install some Anaconda tires. I may do a blow out video on the old tires before I change them out tho.
Fake News So what is a good long lasting tire for the rustler
I'm about to put on some Anaconda tires but I think I'm gonna do the duct tape method on the inside when I install them. It's supposed to reduce ballooning thus extending the tire life. We'll see how that works out.
That traxxas wheelie bar is crap. You should install the arrma one 1/8 soo much stronger. When i had the "traxxas one" my e revo that thing would pop right out all the time when using 6s.
So... which one should I get because I am buying a rustler Val?
Vxl
@@alextsukada4013 neither. Buy one of the 3s arrma. Sooo much better value for money and sooo much tougher than these traxxas trucks. I made the switch and I'm never looking back!
You dont need a wheelie bar if you know how to drive correctly
Traxxas charger and battery are expensive
Yes, too much!
Everything about Traxxas is Expensive they literally charge 80 bucks for transmitter smh #lowerprices
Want one so bad😢😢😫😭
Pizza cutter tires at high speed..........8^))
Would you like that cut into squares? hehehe
lol, 3s 25c is NOT a powerful battery, try 45, 65, 95C
Then get rid of those traxxas connectors and put some xt90`s or 120 on there lol..
Btw, my Gen`s Ace 3s 4500, 45C cost me about the same as a 3s 25c traxxas pack..
They`re powerful compared to a 6 cell NiMh though hehe xD
And it`s VELINEON, not VERILLION, just sayin`..
Anyone wanting a good battery and charger should get something other than traxxas and just swap out the plugs one the battery and ESC.
And ALWAYS balance charge LiPo`s, people are going to burn their house down if they don`t.
I totally get what you're saying and after doing research I agree on the brand, quality and pricing but the 3S is too much for me just driving around the neighborhood and backyard for the dogs. I can't keep the thing upright on the 3S, even with the wheelie bar. I can't imagine going up. hahaha
Hahaha how funny. You got me on the Verillion thing. I had to go back and watch it myself. How embarrassing, but funny just the same. Thanks for keeping me on my toes bro.
lol dont be embarrassed man go have fun thats what its all about lol run the batteries you want and the connectors you want lmao people post shit like were supposed to be impressed and they just look like elitist douche bags .. lol now i'ma go charge up my cheap floureon lipos i got from amazon n have some FUN lol
Jan Christian Frodahl lol, “JUSY SAYIN’” you’re using the wrong quotation mark
@Cripple kid 090 you mean 105 "kph"
U are not turning right keep your hand on the turn wheel FYI lol
Can't really do that on my little street. I need a wide open space to actually steer the vehicle at that speed ;)
SPEEDRC76 chill dude everyone starts off somewhere stop disrespecting a man that’s trying to learn
Say bra need part number for wheelie bar
Part #3678
Thanks brother how's the car holding up waiting on my battery and charger
@@williechestnut7133 It's doing great. I'm already wanting the 4WD version ;)

If the esc is a problem on these I'm getting my money back mines coming in ups Wednesday damn always a gimmick with these big companies
Mine is still doing great after 6 months but I'm ready to upgrade to the new VXL 4x4 ;)
@@FranksTechHelp what battery gives the vxl rustler 2wd brushless 70 plus mph
@@williechestnut7133 The 3S is supposed to push it to around 70mph. I drove on it for about 3 days and then put in a 2S cause I don't have the space to drive that fast =>=>=> Plus it's just insane how quickly it gets out of control on the 3S
Man I appreciate it insane how expensive these batteries and chargers are
@@FranksTechHelp I think I'm gone get the fwd in near future to ,I watch your vids over and over preciate content thumbs up
Bougth the Rustler on 10Aug18 and since then some part or the other has been breaking; it cant even do half the things shown in this video without breaking something. Poor quality Traxxas.
I have to agree to some extent. My rear left axel disconnected twice and decided to replace them with aluminum, much better now. But also because of ballooning I'm about to replace the tires as well. For the price I'd expect to drive it longer than 2 days without something breaking.
FranksTechHelp totally. You need extra money for aluminium upgrades lol
Guys buy a Arrma!!! The new 3s line is hands down the best value in rc today!!! They are super tough too. I'm team arrma all day everyday!!!
@@FranksTechHelp Frank sell that rustler and get one of the new arrma 3s line trucks. They are miles ahead of traxxas durability wise. Trust me you will not be disappointed and will be amazed how tough they are and how little they break. I've beat the hell outta my 3s arrma granite blx and have had ZERO BREAKAGES! In the cold weather also! They are like tanks! Trust me switch to arrma and you will not be disappointed! Look them up.
@@cwatson42785 I'm totally looking into it right now. :)

O hered son of a b**** in the back ground
Mah or milli amps?🤣🤣
Mah = mili amp hour
Yes correct 🔋

Its not a dune buggy
You're a dune buggy! lol Traxxas refers to it as an RC Buggy so same diff dude.
you shouldn't of got a traxxas battery
