Kentro has good speed and stamina. Anything wants to chase you they’re gonna get a face full of bleed/damage from your tail. Chickens can be a bit of a pest now, though. However, a good Kentro can routinely fend off groups of 3+ dinos with relative ease. Don’t sleep on the Kentro!
As a solo spino player, thing's a beast. Even though its stamina isn't the best, it moves VERY fast. Especially if ur land speed variant, meaning you can ride pretty much every apex that isn't bars or a good eo. The other day my land spino wiped a KOS group consisting of two sarcs, a pycno and a conc. That stomp is no joke
I think The Daspletosaurus Is a good Dino to use , for speed and for fighting other Dinosaurs , I know the charge attack stinks , but looking up good builds on UA-cam is what helped me , Also The Deinonychus is pretty fun for solo players , and you are right about the Bars being good at combat, when I decided to role play and hunted one without thinking , I think I well take a break from game until it’s finished and they add in ai Dino’s to single player
Thank you so much for always giving the Bars credit. Seems like this is the most slept on dino in the game. You almost never see people playing them. I can honestly say I am so glad I took the time to grow one to adult. When I wanna chill, I log on my Bars, I wander around picking up my flowers and graze on every ones quest objectives (took forager just for this) and make my happy little cow noises while doing so. Every once in a while a dino or two or three decided they wanna f-around with my happy little cow, generally a tail slam or two and they get the point that they should let me go back to picking my flowers. Also you never hear things in chat like "All Bars players are toxic" "I'm KOS to all Bars Players because they are A$$holes" and things like that. It is a bit of a difficult grow, but honestly once you make it like half way through adolescences you are already big enough that pretty much only Apexes will mess with you 1v1.
Bars is good, but it's weakness are raptors, they basically bully Bars unless it's near water. I just can't play him until the pounce is nerfed, I love my cow too
@@nok4799 when u have a raptor or two on ur Bar, push the side they are on up against the side of a cliff, when the raptor runs out of stam instead of them falling off on the side (since they cant)it ports them behind u, right in the sweet spot for a tail slam.
The fact that the raptors are some of the best for SOLO players is ridiculous. Solo playing should be fun, i play solo modt of the time and the solo experience needs to be much better but a group creature should not be one of the best creatures for solo players
they need put in uncomfortability mechanic and better herding/packing methods that isnt based on size and diet, rather is should be by the dinosaur species. and it need to be automatically done not manually . game is annoying when ppl mega pack
I think dasp is good solo too. I didnt have a great experience on gp plains with it though, I got targeted as soon as I arrived by this huge kossing missing pack, bone broke the guy that was closest to me then sprinted it out of there. Wish dasp had its original instant bonebreak ability back was so much better than this charge one. Also why they gave it a 15% speed penalty is so dumb. Kentro is also amazing as solo too and can do some serious spinjitzu
Dont underestimate the Stegosaurus, hunting it takes a hell lot of skill. It can tank and deliver. Me and my friend were 2 Allosaurus and we deceided to try and hunt a Stego, and we got our a$$es whooped.
Thats true. But also depends on what the eo does and where he goes.. Me(laten) and a thalasso killed a grown bars yesterday. Well a random eo showed up and helped US killing the Bars.... but we were nipping on the bars already for a long time xd
Yall sleeping on Megalania. Its small so it can hide almost anywhere, impossible to chase due to its size as soon as you get into some bushes, it can swim aswell as dive, also, the stamina cost for diving was removed unless youre sprinting and it will even regenerate underwater, you can eat fish, poison works to your advantage wether youre running away or your enemy is running away. Easiest dino if youre a solo player.
Trust me with an ano you will actually only die from starvation. I was in many fights with that thing and attacked by a group of 8 carnis and what killed me wqs starvation. It’s just very boring gameplay if you’re alone but overall still a great dino for survival
Most the things you said, I agree with except one thing and that is the piano. I don’t think the piano is a good PVP, because most of the time if you were going to PVP against another dinosaur, you’re gonna hunker down you’re just gonna sit in one place that is not technically PVP you just sitting in one place waiting for them to just come for you
for me it would be deinon/laten, pachy, meg, kentro and sarco. all of them except sarc has amazing stam, has very good speed, easy to fight or run. sarco has the benefit of being a semi-aquatic with very good dmg. i usually recommend my friends to avoid bigger dinos before they get comfortable with the game mechanics. nothing easier to hunt then a newbie rex regardless of growth.
You say campto is “trash” but really he is good for solo. His Stan drains really slow while sprinting and you can jump repeatedly and lose little stam. His bite only dose 20 damage but you so fast you can just bite and run over and over again. His Hop Away ability dose use a lot of stamina so you can only use it twice before needing to rest. And he has a voice call that gives +20% damage on next move when out of combat. So if your grouped with a do trike you can host his first move by 20%. So campto pretty good for solo
I personally haven’t played Campto but I think the pachy would be a better solo Dino than the Campto. The last part of your sentence involves group play, so it doesn’t really count. Pachy has great stamina regen and has 2 dmg abilities plus lone hunter. Kick does 80 dmg and headbutt does 40 dmg iirc. I think if Campto was better at solo more people would be using it. I rarely ever seen any camptos.
I think the sucho is the best dinosaur if you are a solo player, he is not an apex because if you are an apex you can't play solo, you are a big target and usually the other apexes are in duos. The sucho has good stamina, good speed and you can escape from apexes easily, you can also use water because it is a semi aquatic, you can use the bite for small opponents which you can hit less times and the claw barrage for bigger opponents that can't run away from you, the tail attack is very good if you are being attacked by a group of small dinosaurs and the stomp is effective and you can do it a lot of times; the turning radius is good and also the turn in place but the tail will be your best friend.

All the UA-camrs tell me what Dino’s are good and bad, I want to know how to not get targeted and eaten the moment I spawn in, I’ve gotten to adolescence once before in an official server, how do I grow enough to be able to outrun anyone or even defend myself?
I almost never die when i grow dinos. I grow my dinos in birch forest, then move on to the swamp and then i go to sand cavens. Those three areas i do in a circle. Birch forest, swamp, sand cave and back to birch forest. You learn pretty quick how to make it fast and effective.
Easy and usually quiet farming at the Broken tooth canyon/Ripple beach/Stego mountain loop Other then that just walk and listen for footsteps, sit in bushes and wait the timer for logout if things sound really sketchy. But if someone hears you spawn in, you're probably just dead lol but you should be logging at homecave anyways to get your extra growth bonus.
@@tool3769 I must be deaf cause I can hear everything in the game super loud except the footsteps of other Dino’s so listening never helped, and I just want to grow, I don’t want to play the game for 8 hours just to get abilities, where is the skip to adolescence button at least, and last place I died was at stego mountain after being ran up on from behind only hearing his mf roar when he was already like 30 feet from me, and I was basically already dead when I heard him, and I never go to the home cave cause I always die before I decide I want to leave the game, help my dumb a$$ now
@@mikedepaepe6212 I don't even use a headset and i keep my tv volume very low, not hearing footsteps is not whats getting you killed i'd bet. You need to be more aware of your surroundings. That dino you said killed you should never have been able to get that close without you seeing him. You need to keep your head on a swivel and as the others have mentioned don't quest in hotspots. You mentioned stego mountain, IMO that's a hotspot. It's not very "hot" by any means but it still sees quite a lot of action. I quest in Whistling columns/dark woods, theres a shark corpse at the southern beach in dark woods and there's a herbi corpse on top of the mountain in whistling columns. There's also water in both areas and two berry bushes one near-ish to the shark corpse and one right outside the homecave. Learn where the resources are so you dont have to search for them each time. Never ever log out outside of a homecave. That's why i like whistling columns, the homecave is right in the middle of the zone so no matter where you are you can get to it fast. Logging outside a homecave is a death sentence as your damage and speed will both be debuffed after logging in (as an adult). Non-adults need to log out inside a homecave because theyll get an xp bonus for every hour that theyre offline (maximum five) each xp bonus grants your next quest double the growth time. So in other words, if youre not using the homecave logout buff, you'll be doing up to twice the amount of work. If you're a fast dino you can hang around the bigger slower ones as long as you keep an eye on them, but other than that, flee from all dinosaurs on sight. (Preferably to a homecave to switch servers) There is little to no "comradery" between any carnivores, however, there is a fair bit between herbivores which makes them slightly easier to grow as youre more likely to not be attacked on sight.* You can always risk a group invite, but it is indeed very risky. Using global chat is the best bet for grouping up. *(as a carnivore you'll be targeted equally by both herbis and carnis, but as an herbi you will be targeted less often by other herbis)
Yeah Bars is the only Apex I actually like using solo, everyone leaves you alone unless it's a mix pack, and if you do get attacked you pretty much tank everything while they lose chunks of health fast with tail slam. But after the pounce update , I wouldn't recommend pulling him out until they get nerfed
I don't agree with the ano. I have never lost to an ano. The only thing they can do is hunker down and the only reason they get kills is because stupid players trying to kill in hunker. I literally bait them out everytime and without hunker they aren't anything special

Any small dino can be used for solo, Campto is just the worst stat wise but you can play any dino very well. It's all about you and your playstyle.
