A quick note about rip-rap banks... they are also home to one of my favorite non-fish aquatic creatures, the water snake. If you fish freshwater in the northeast, you have probably encountered mister northern water snake. He may have even startled you half to death as you bushwhacked through your favorite fishing spot. I personally love snakes and it's always a bonus for me to be encounter one while fishing, but very few anglers I've met have a positive opinion of the water snake, because they can be a bit startling and they will sometimes chase and hit live baits and lures. These creatures are just as much a part of your local fishery and the ecosystem that surrounds it as a bass, a heron, or a turtle. Water snakes are also nonvenomous and harmless to humans, although they are often mistaken for the venomous water moccasin or cottonmouth. However the cottonmouth isn't found north of southern Virginia.
Your tackle box falling out of the door of your car and all the time you spent organizing everything has now been wasted. This has happened to me so many times.
Use a drop shot in the fall, you won't have as many leaves getting snagged up. Plus you should fish slow for that hard fall/winter bass bite. The drop shot is perfect that time of year.
Since Octoberish Maine has had frozen lakes, and like 4 feet of snow. Our “fallen leaf” phase was early to mid September. I just wanna go fishing again!
The WORST pet peeve from my youth was the traditional tackle box with the lid. You could so easily not latch the lid and try to pick up the box and move, dumping the entire top tray.
Your pet peeves series is the Happy Wheels/YLYL of the fishing world. Could have died ages ago, could still go on forever, but I enjoy them more than I'd like to admit.
Put some *treble hook covers* on your crankbaits and similar. Every single one of my treble hooks has a cover. No more tangles in the tackle box and far less poked fingers. A simple solution (that really works) and at least one pet peeve eliminated.
I was fishing a local pond 2 weeks ago and I was reeling in a fish and hear a big 𝘴𝘬𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘩. Turn around and I see a kid had fallen in the water. The dad looked down, kept reeling in his line slowly and slowly helped the kid out! 2:09 The kid was young and couldn't get out because he fell in off a 5-foot wall. The dad did help him out but he was in there for at least a minute.

It’s funny you put that excite crank bait For sharp hooks I have that same exact one color me all the first time I tied it on I put the hook into my hand luckily it wasn’t to the barb so it wasn’t bad to pull out but still sucked
One day i was fishing with a friend, thought i had a piece of a tree on and pulled it up. it was a pike around 80-90 cm, he cut my line of on some cattails...

I have one catching a snapping turtle while bass fishing you set the hook and you get super pumped and then it is a turtle I caught one over the summer on a Texas Rig senko it was like 70 pounds
1.) When you let your friends use your rods and they skid the tip on the ground.

Use a "Hair Rig" to avoid catching pan fish when carp fishing.
Use bread ties on those treble hooked baits there cheap and they work good!!!
My pet peeve is when you are fishing with shiners or any bait and you cast and it flies off the hook
Thorns are mild compared to poison ivy. My whole body will literally break out if I touch it and don't wash it off
