The stories around that place are quiet disturbing, some are very bizarre. I get why the farmers fed up with folks hes had to put up with a lot. Everything from nutters using it to worship satan and nailing dogs to crosses, to people going missing up round there and the subsequent police involvement. I can see why he left it to rot, you head up there after dark and for whatever reason the atmosphere is thick with unease, really quiet oppressive. I wouldnt want to live up there for sure. Great video.
Fascinating video. Thank you. Really appreciated the careful adding of the CGI sections to show how it used to look. Enjoyed the NATO mk1 Assault Cows.
In the decommission of RAF Bempton, I worked for a local company that had a crane on a wagon. we were at the site to remove some of the radar tops and we had to go in the buildings holding them. These were full of fuse boxes and a lot of wiring. there was at the side of the guard house a very large double door garage into which RAF vehicles entered and then moved away i know it was alone time ago but i do believe more than one vehicles entered at different times.
Great vid mate, I have been fascinated by the stories of this place and what led the the farmer to blocking it up. Shame I never got to visit years ago when I lived locally. Emergency exit 🤔
Thsnk you. Yeah there's some fascinating stories relating to the site and the area for sure. Emergency exit could be a possibility if you were willing to abseil in. The blast doors leading from the main part of the bunker could sealed from inside though
Brilliant video. Was there today (no cows or farmers!) Very interesting to know what it was all about I assumed the emergency exit was something of importance but had no idea it was a bunker. Cheers!
Thank Lee, pleased I could help you with a good idea of what the site was. If you look through my videos there's a 3 part series of computer generated graphics that gives you a virtual tour of the site. It's a very interesting warch.
@Nicks Exploration Brill ill check them out. Staying up near Filey for the week just looked on OS maps for something to walk to I had no idea what went off there lol Shame to see all the buildings used as cattle sheds but that's farmers for you.

Hi George thank you for comment. I could taste & smell the cow muck as I walked around the site. Such a shame to see the former Radar stations in such a state. I dint suppose you happen to have any photos from the time you were based at the two sites above.

Hello Nick, I've watched some old videos on here from around 10 years ago and some comments are saying that asbestos dust is floating around in the passages under the bunker. So if you do manage to find a way in future it may be wise to wear a filter mask.
Hi Tino, thanks for the heads up. I live locally and been in many times before it was finally sealed up. I believe the only asbestos in the bunker is in the sump room which is located near the emergency exit. Dust was a problem though the last time I went in. I would spend ages after cleaning my nose of black sut and dust. Haha
@@Lighthazzles haha them bloody cows! I actually cut part of the video off because they charged me, I jumped over the fence and got caught on the barbed wire fence. Still have the scar now although it's faded a little. It's when they all got together they got a little brave!

Went round it about thirty five years ago, i knew someone who lived in there for around seven years. He was a computer whizz kid who lost the plot after hacking the US on the school computer in the mid 80's, he tried to burn down the computer room down after the TV started talking to him and ended up in borstal and then homeless living up there and then in the local woods in a derelict farm for a few years, crazy thing was another kid who i knew quite well was his partner in crime and also went loopy with telekinesis and said ufo/ lights used to talk to him at night. He went on the be legendary at reading reels at amusements and getting banned from them all.
😄 I do warn everyone that 9 times out if 10 you get caught on site! I was lucky I didn't get seen on this occasion. The landowners patrol the site nearly ever hour during daylight
Unfortunately we didn’t get many. Couple of reasons. First we weren’t allowed cameras on-site and in my day we didn’t have mobile phones and cameras were less common, secondly we were usually working so too busy to take photos (it would have interrupted our 12 hour lunch break lol) third was, of course, the official secrets act. But perhaps the biggest reason is that we didn’t see it as important when it was just our workplace at the time. With hindsight I’d love to have taken loads of photos as they were really interesting places. I went to Boulmer, Stanton Wold, Neatishead, Benbecula and Buchan. Some as postings, some just for visits. Good days. I was an engineer not a scope (operator), they broke them, we fixed them. I worked on T80, HF200, T84 and Radar office displaye
