Punk signing his WWE contract on the ROH Championship is a moment that doesn't get talked about enough anymore. Even for a work it was a big deal at the time.
Cashed in on Edge, not Batista, but Batista did destroy Edge prior to this, so it kinda works out.
The fact that from 2010 and 2011 wwe had two of their hottest storylines that could have gotten them popular again in the Nexus and the cm punk’s summer of punk storyline only to manage to screw and botch them both is a testament to how straight GARBAGE vince’s booking was.
I never got the Kevin Nash running in angle at summer slam 2011. Like, it was so random and didn't make sense. KEVIN NASH?!?! That's like having Papa Shango return at this year's WrestleMania to put a curse on Cody at the end.
If they would’ve just run with the idea of the Kliq coming back to be HHH’s hired stooges, without all the bs re: the text messages and everything else, I’d have been fine with it. Plus Punk’s promos on Nash were some of the funniest stuff he did of that era. “Kevin Nash, OMG! Thought he was dead!l
That would actually make some sense since Shango and The Rock have some history.

Even to this day, it’s still stings how WWE COMPLETELY SCREWED UP The Summer of Punk which had so much potential to be one of the greatest storylines in the companies history. CM Punk was the hottest thing going in WWE considering the fact that the product at the time was so unbearable to watch. It was the perfect lightning in a bottle moment and they decided to screw up by a having washed up has-been Kevin Nash who absolutely had no business being a part of the storyline on the first place. Sure Punk would eventually went back to the WWE Championship later that year, but it just didn’t have that same spark because of the fact that the company failed to strike when the iron was hot and Punk’s momentum was completely squandered.

The product wasn’t unbearable to watch at all you just hating because you didn’t like cena people like you are on crack saying the product was unbearable soeak for yourself stupid many millions of fans liked the product better back then then it is now it’s boring ratings were higher back in the 2010-2011 years.
Dude words can’t describe how dumb you are to say the product was unbearable to watch are you high. Dude explain why ratings were so much higher then it is now things were way better back in 2010,2011 then it is now you just hate to admit it because you don’t like John cena he was carrying WWE well he was the. Guy that revolutionized the business he changed the business to make it a safer product.

Apparently a lot of people don't understand why WWE sent "new" talent to OVW, FCW, NXT, etc. As an OVW alumni, I can tell you it's to teach them on how to work in the "WWE Style"; how to work the cameras and stuff like that.
The summer of punk getting ruined is why it’s never a good idea to have an active member of the roster also helping running things behind the scenes…..lookin at you Paul Levesque….

they really should have booked this much smarter. Let Punk leave for like 2-3 months after Mitb and keep the hype around him and Cena. Cena beats Rey at Summerslam for the title, afterwards Del Rio cashes in. Del Rio vs Cena have 1-2 PPV Matches like they did anyway around that time, and then before Survivor Series Punk returns and you build Team Punk vs Team Cena or something like that, but NO Triple H had to bury Punk's hype. Punk still went on to being Champ afterwards but Summer of Punk was misbooked.
I'll do you one better. Have Punk out long enough so people actually think he's gone and bring him back just when people finally accept that he's "gone".

Never should been a summer or punk. He should’ve went away with the belt until either Survivor Series or Royal Rumble
They could’ve built up the World Heavyweight championship and used that as the top belt.

The Summer of Punk was Vince’s and Triple H‘s attempt to bury Punk because he got over without them wanting it. So they did what wrestling promoters did since the dawn of the sport: Kill the bitches momentum. It didn’t worked and Punk survived it all.

The first time I ever quit watching WWE was when CM Punk made his debut she had on a mask and long hair, it took less than one episode for me to think wow what a terrible wrestler and what a terrible show I quit watching for 10 years. Best decision I ever made
